Sorting: That's a hobby on itself. After I take down my moc I'm busy for up to six weeks with sorting.( Depending on the size of the moc). My lego is first sorted by colour. I think you'r right. But even with my huge amount of legobricks, I simply don't have enough dark red 1x2 bricks. :(
