BP? I thought they already had the Shell thing going on... Anyway, why promote a gasoline/oil company? They make small sets for shell as promotions, yes, but I haven't seen an an actual shell service station since about 1987 in the US. I know there has been a few in Europe, and finding those on the...

You make me sick. Just kidding, that's a huge collection. Your pirates collection has more sets than my whole collection (and the bulk of my collection is town). I like the way you classify your information. I've only done piece count, and my friend colorized the names of sets in themes alike, but d...

Personally, I'm not into Town, so I don't really care. But if I were into Town, I would want alot more residential style sets. I agree completely. Lego hasn't made a Town house in many years. But with the current and recent town sets they've made, I'm inclined to believe that they will continue to ...

New license possibility

I was filling up at a BP the other day when thought that the white, green, and yellow color scheme of BP was really quite pleasing to the eye. I think it would make a great set for lego town. It's been a while since lego made a new gas station (that reissue of the big Octan one a few years ago doesn...

Jay, is that tail fin logo a sticker or printed on? I think I might get two of these planes and convert one over to cargo duties, and I want it to be a different logo/color scheme than the passenger plane. P.S. Keep up the good work on the photo reviews you do, I look forward to the rest of the 2006...

I ordered one about two weeks ago. It didn't come with my other parts, the invoice said it was on back order. Maybe it will be off backorder when you place your order. Good luck with it.

If you ever need to clean bulk lego, try this: I stitched up a pillow case full and washed them in the washer on warm gentle cycle, no bleach, a little bit of detergent. :D worked great and then I just spread them out to dry on a towel. Thanks for the advice, I may do that with some of my dirtier b...

Haha, yeah, it does get weird sometimes. I've found going on Peeron.com and looking up a set with the piece you want to get the part number, then searching by that on bricklink produces good results for most of the more common pieces.

Cleaning baseplates

Does anyone have a sure-fire way of cleaning up old baseplates, you know, ones with crud stuck between the studs, sometimes spill marks on them? I just got a bunch of old baseplates, including printed road and space plates, and I would like to clean them up as best I can. I tried using water, rubbin...

Could you please explain what you meant? Does it mean you saw other sets with different figures packaged like this where you got this one?

By 'Merry Olde England' I hope you meant the era of Robin Hood, crusaders, etc. That would translate into Crusaders, Forestmen, and Black Knights; in other words, all the great old castle sets and factions we know and love.

I came out of my 'dark age' last year during my second year of college. I stumbled upon LDraw and installed it and made a few designs, then showed my friends. They were impressed; my roommate soon installed it, and my other friend brought back his huge tub of Lego to build with. My collection is not...

Very nice, I like how well you've captured the character's appearances with standard lego pieces.

A good idea, though it will be huge; when I go to the bookstore I usually only find 3 or 4 pirate books amongst the sea of castle books.
