Do these super detailed sets ever go on sale online or in the Lego stores?

I found an example of what can be done to counteract the poorly-designed skellie-ship. The link is Here. Though I do like what they did with the two ships, I question the gap between the hulls. Does the gap have to be there, or can you directly connect two of those hull pieces? I guess what I'm ask...

I'm actually looking to buy two of the three out of the Cafe Corner, Green Grocer, and Market Street.

Can you list specifics of what you liked better between the two sets?

Price wise, they all seem comparable; between $.06 - $.07 per piece.

That would be very cool if they loosely based the selection over the next couple of years on the Lord of the Rings. They're close so far with dwarves, elves, trolls, etc.

They do have crossbows available. Under Accessories, $.17 in reddish brown.

For pure army building purposes, what do you think is the better value? The knights battle pack or impulse sets?
