Thats brilliant! Thanks so much for those, they will be a real help. I saw this image in the gothic section http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Gotic3d2.jpg I think a strip and re-build is in the works. Looking at those centre pilars I think to get that level of detail I'm going to have to build a bi...

Its cool if you wanted to go with that style, I guess I just assumed that you were aiming for a high gothic church To be honest, I havn't really got much of a clue at the moment. I understand that romanesque style arches are round and gothic ones are pointy but that's where my knowledge ends! I'm g...

That looks awesome! Are there interiors yet? I never did an interior for this one, I did think about it but decided against it in the end. The Abbey has now been taken apart so I can work on my next project. This is a practice run on the first section of my gothic cathedral. http://www.brickshelf.c...

wow, thanks all! As I said earlier, I am quite pleased with this one. that looks great! Did you just build it or did you have a photo? No, no photo, this one started out half the size and was just going to be a fortified house on a rocky outcrop, but I liked the windows so much I kept adding them, w...

Thanks all,
I'm def gonna go with the light gray frames, I took a look at all the other colours available and they just wouldn't go with what I wanted.

I now seem to spend most of my time awaiting parts!

Thats a good idea, I'd need 46 of them so it's more than feasible. I might order some and see what it looks like. It's definetly supposed to be a residence so windows will make it look complete and occupied. Another BrickLink attack coming on! What colour for the frames maybe light gray? I just adde...

The Burps will be filled in a bit more with more dark gray and the some foliage. The tower floating is because of my lack of dark gray and my impatience! I couldn't help starting the tower. :D When my dark gray arrives the tower base will be blended in to the surrounding Burps and the stairs to the ...

I was wandering about the windows.
I wasn't planning to do anything inside but with all the arches you can see straight through it. Should I try and black them out somehow?

I use lots and lots and lots of these: http://www.reason8.com/clients/restaurantsupplies-foilcontainers-takeawaycontainers-foodcontainers/prod2.cfm?product=29075 They stack easily. I've sorted by colour then by part. EG: I have 7 stacks of black parts. Each stack is 10 high. 1 stack contains all pla...

Well done, you spotted my architectural mistake. haha.

I Didn't mean it to turn out that way because it wasn't till I was at the top of building the tower that I knew what was going to be on top. So when I chose the arches design it was a bit off.

I may rebuild it tonight to get it right.
