Re: The Kingdoms Sets released!

I know a lot of folks were glad to return to human vs. human factions, but I miss the fantasy aspect (unless the horses are in fact unicorns...) What I think is being done here is sort of a compromise. The theme is human-human, but there are elements thrown into the mix. Similar to older LEGO facti...

Re: Pink Knights?

I just managed to stop in at TRU today but because of their INFLATED prices I didn't purchase any CK sets. However I am waiting for them to pop onto Amazon for some free shipping. Does anyone know if they have started appearing in LEGO stores, or the new minifigures? I am going to a store this week...

Re: Collectable Minifigures (Now with AFOL Review)

Thats why they released it early. The 5 unit limit is a way to keep "resellers" from hoarding large amounts (which is what they allow in TRU) and then resell online. But since TRU "let the cat out of the bag" rather early, the LEGO Stores released them early as well in order to c...

Re: Atlantis Helm & Armor: Good for Castley MOCs

I do not see any difference between these Senate Commandos -vs- that found in the Venator set... The helmet is blue with a painted black visor. Not that much different than the manner in which the (current) Clone Trooper helmets are designed. IMO, it looks like LEGO is just making these guys availab...

Re: Atlantis Helm & Armor: Good for Castley MOCs

The Portal of Atlantis set seems to have a bit of a nod to StarGate, a Sci-Fi franchise with it's own Atlantis mythos.

I'm really hoping they come out with either another magnet set or an impulse set with the Naga Warrior... I'd love to make an army out of him too! :D

Re: Collectable Minifigures (Now with AFOL Review)

All I have to say is...

They are all awesome! I went and collected 1 of each from series 1.

However, I plan on making "armies" of certain ones.

Ninja, Cowboy, Native-American, and Woodsman.

Re: Pink Knights?

It takes a REAL MAN to wear pink!

Sure the other minifigs will laugh at him, but when he cleave their hands and arms off... who'll be laughing then? :P

It's a distraction I tell you!

Re: 2010 LEGO Kingdoms Official Pictures

I understand your frustration. For some reason other people inside TLG (not Steve) are hesitant to give fan sites pictures of some lines prior to release. As you pointed out, this does not make much sense since high quality images were taken at toy fair. On the other hand, it is nice for the Commun...

Re: Your experience with clone brands

Clone brands crumble like sand castles... Back in 1994, my family and I were visiting relatives in the Philippines. My little cousin had this clone brand toy, I dunno what brand it was, but when we were playing... the clone brand Mech fell apart so easily after being run over by the Tyco diecast met...

Volunteers Needed for a LEGO Store grand opening event

Hi everyone, My name is John-Paul and I'm the Offsite Supervisor (logistics, shipments, inventory) for the LEGO Store in Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ. (1) Our store had its "soft opening" in early August and we've been open for over a month now. However, we are holding our Grand Openi...

An Emperess and the Warriors

YouTube Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_H2mCqMuo4 Setting is around the time before China's unification by Qin Shi Huang Di. From what I can tell its one of those History mixed with some fiction movies (as most "historical" films are anyway). Pretty great battle scenes and the wa...

Re: What do YOU do with your KKII rainbow knights?

That's easy... I incorporate them into my armies. But not before parting them out and spreading aroun the parts amongst my existing troops. Where the parts (armors, shields, and torsos) go... The animal print ones... Scorpion Knights & Vladek scorpion emblem = Malay (cos I like dark red for my e...

Nice! Have you considered making the Onager look more like the one in the game?
