Re: CCC XXI
Hello again! I have another question regarding the “before 1996” category: Are modern versions of the same shield designed allowed? I’m specifically asking about the shields included with set 10305, Lion Knight’s Castle (2022). Several of the designs are reprints of classic designs, but they have s...

Re: 40601 Majisto’s Magical Workshop GWP
A nice little tribute, and quite faithful. Dragon masters were never one of my favorite themes, I would even say least favorite. I definitely won't be going out of my way to get this. It's faithful, recognizable, but still kinda boring. A bit of an odd choice for a GWP. Were Dragon Masters that popu...

Re: Halloween Pumpkin Cottage
Is it just my imagination, or does it seem possible that the Lego Minecraft pumpkin cottage set might have taken a wee bit of inspiration from my pumpkin cottage MOC? https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/the-pumpkin-farm-21248 There is most definitely a similarity, but I doubt LEGO directly stole fro...

Great for you! I looked at the list, and you were the only name I recognized off the bat, Cheering for you!

It also helps to stir the mix a time or two throughout the day, to expose different surfaces to the sunlight. And I've heard to put a sheet of foil underneath the dish (assuming you're using glass) to help reflect the light onto parts that otherwise wouldn't get hit with sunlight directly. More dis...

Re: Second Chance for the Ideas Viking Village
Set 21343 Viking Village is up on Lego.com. Release date is October 1, $130 USD. Practically a bargain compared to some of the sets that have come out lately - I'll definitely try to swing the budget for this one. Definitely looks cool, I love all the angles going on in the base. I don't expect tot...

Re: July Activity: Suggestions
A category where year/era specific parts are used. Especially I see it as a possibility to give some love to 'classic castle'. Not too long time ago I went through the Idea Book articles on CC articles page, and now finally somehow the most recent topic on the board made me think about this... It c...

Re: Restoring white Lego parts.
I recommend doing it in smaller batches at a time. I have gotten better results when there are fewer pieces in the mix. I would say about 50 pieces per litre. Gives each piece more chance in the sun.

Restoring white Lego parts.
This summer I have been restoring a lot of bricks to their proper white state. I've been using the Hydrogen Peroxide method. Dunk your parts in a clear container with some hydrogen peroxide (I've been using a 3% solution I can easily acquire at the store) leave it outside in the sun for about 7-8 ho...

Looks like it would fit very well with the Blacksmith Shop from a couple years ago, seem to be scaled to each other very well.

I nominate this guy: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/ElephantKnight/Castle/Minifigs/thumb/black_knight.png_thumb.jpg This one for sure. Those horse bardings are still the best... Also like the Black Falcon knight from 6059. Guess it was the only armored one from that faction, in the old days at l...

I can also confirm that the harder ones are the original ones, the ones listed as "Polished Rigid ABS". I never had any sets with these, I only had the softer ones, from sets from the Fright Knight, Knights Kingdom era.
