Streamlined truck finally finished!!!

Post by wunztwice »

Well folks, I finally did it. I buckled down and bought the parts I needed to finish my streamlined truck MOC.
THEN I buckled down and got ahold of a friend's digital camera and took the pics. So, without any further adu...

Here is the post-mod gallery.
Image
Pic is a link!

I am interested in anything you have to say about it. The front is what I am most proud of. The unique angle gives a very different look.
Unfortunately because of the parts I needed to achieve that angle I was unable to provide a decent undercarriage like my other trucks.
(here are the other threads if you wish to discuss them too. black flatbed, green delivery truck, van.

Thanks for looking, again please leave any comments you have!

This is great. I don't like it as much as your other trucks, but it's still good. The door has a cool mechanism, and I like the constrution as well. The sand blue doesn't seem to work... not because there are too many colors, but it doesn't fit with the dark red.

This is a great truck! I like the color combo, I think it compliments the truck really good. The door is a really cool idea, too! I like your other trucks too. Keep on building!

Schnazzy, I'm not keen on the sand color theme but my favorite parts are the use of the sheild and the curved hood. Overall, very nice.

(Ignore me if you please, but I think it would be best with a curved back, rack on top, and a sort of sand-green/sand-blue color scheme, but this is your moc and your bricks not mine. Yesss, tricksies hobbitses tooks its's from us's, hssssssss ss s s ssorry about that)

Hey Chris,

It looks really nice. I particularly like the use of the shield as a detail, and the curve on the front is really interesting.

I like it. Very good job! How about handing that camera over to your brother...
I like the use of the oval shields on the sides. Your rare dark red ones  .

I enjoy this truck very much, even though I am not much of a town/car fan.

Those are actually probably just brasoed KK2.2 Vladek shields.

I can see it now :) Looks very nice, I dont mind the colours at all. There are some imaginative uses of pieces, my favs are the chrome, the door handle, and the hinge mechanism on the door on the back

Well done :)

Thanks darkspawn, I try to come up with different ways to use parts in a truck. I really like how the door came together, and the chrome I think adds to the antique look of it.

Good eye Bruce, those were the two areas I started on and built the truck from there. I really enjoy those shields!

Felix-
Thanks! I keep telling him that the camera is a friend's, and since I'm away at college that makes it hard. Tell him to stop bugging me about it

Thanks everyone else too! I know the colors might not sit well with some, but keep in mind the lighting isn't the best, so the colors are off a little.

That's a cool ride Wunz. The color, the shape... I really like it. You seem to be doing pretty well in building cars, keep up the good work. (Btw, didn't it hurt to brasso those Vladek shields? I find them pure awesome :)).

Hehe, actually I bought them as they are, I have never brassoed anything in my life... I also found a regular red ovoid shield from the same person. They probably are, but I didn't do it. Thanks, this is my favorite truck so far, and I will be attempting another soon, but only after I get my castle more done. I want to have it ready for CCC!

Hmm, first of all I apologize for the double post. It seems I forgot to ask a question I meant to. What, in your opinion, do you see as this truck's role?

Some of my friends said an ice cream truck, but it doesn't have opening sides. Then I thought perhaps refregerated delivery truck, but I was wondering about your impressions!

Thanks,

At first I was thinking a milk truck...
Wait. Shouldn't Remyth KNOW if you brassoed them or not? You are brothers, right?
In anycase, I would agree on the refridgerated delivery truck. But of what item? Meat? Milk? ______ (Put refridgerated object that is delivered here)?
