Wow, that's great news! My red and white spacemen will be really excited. Now if only we could get them back to classic castle sets as well ...

Agreed, I hope castle comes back soon too.
I have fond memories of space. My first minifigs came from a value pack containing Space Dart I, Moon Buggy, and Radar Truck (not sure if I got the names all right). Good memories. Let's see how this new stuff turns out.

The first lego set I ever got was 6808 Galaxy Trekkor. I had months of fun with that one, and it was only 27 pieces. Some other favorites of mine from that era were 6925 Interplanetary Rover and 6877 Vector Detector. I've enjoyed the Star Wars line, but it's just not the same. Kind of like Harry Potter. I've enjoyed the HP line, but it's not a substitute for Classic Castle. Great to hear that TLG keeps moving in the right direction.

I was wondering how I missed this thread, but now I realized it's because it was stickied... I've got myself trained to start looking at the third or fourth thread down and don't even look at sticky threads, since they are usually the same old thing that's been up there forever.
On to the matter at hand, as I am primarily a historical theme collector/fan/builder, I'm not all that interested in classic-space. Other than it might be an indication of Lego moving back to classic themes.
And not to rain on the parade, but we were told Castle fans would have something to be happy about, and we got the KK2 debacle...
Steve... Come on Lego, prove me wrong!

Yes indeed the re-imergence of Lego! Have they listened to us? I can only hope they return to castle as well. Why on earth did they get away from these core themes? Town has never vanished, just changed names, but soldiered on. Space will be a nice return for us all, as I'm sure there will be some crossover peices for us at the very least. Now the demise of 9v trains is being grieved in my mainly train club as the very death knell for Lego...
