Armory Poll

Post by Blasterman »

Here's where you guys get to decide on a piece to be made!

Overall, I'm looking at producing 1 new weapons set, and
at least 1 new helmet...possibly 2...in time for Brickfest.

So, we'll start this off with a "choice helmet" poll.

Thank you.

Gad. One choice? I suppose I'd be happy with any of them with the one question being how would your armet differ from Lego's?

1. Visored Sallet
2. Great Helm
3. Barbute
4. Archer's Sallet
5. Armet

If I do an Armet, it would be more accurate.

1 - better base helmet
2 - "period" visor

Personally, I'd like to see a Greek Hoplite Helmet:

A Burgeont would be nice too...but perhaps is already too similar to what is already available:

But I think the favorite would be a tie between a Great Helm:

And a Barbute-styled helm (Great for LoTR)

It's really hard to match your poll labels with the helmets visible on your link so I'm not sure what type of helmets you're proposing. Could you possibly rename your poll choices to match more closely the names given in the link? I realize that your finished product will likely not match exactly, but closer names will give a better idea of what you hope to create. Thanks.

I can sorta make a corinthian from a bat-helm. I have a Thracian (Greek, not Gladiator) hopefully hardening in the sun (so I can start sanding the Sculpey additions). Mostly cut from a bullet helm. But these are one-shot experiments, alas.

I like the regular German sallet and the German gothic sallet. The great helm is nice too.

Like the other guy said, those bat helms are good for Greek helmets. Now I use the black ones for my hoplites, and hypaspists; the dk grey for my hippikons and hetarois, as for the new KK2 helmets... the ones used by the Scorpion Knight's goons, those will be for my Greek Myrmidons.

Please, Great Helm!!!

Twice I've tried sculpting one and both time it fell apart when I tried making the eyeholes. I don't know how you did it, man! But I'd definitely purchase one from you if for no reasons other than to admire your craftsmanship. :) My 2nd choice would be the sallet, for the same reason that I'm unable to make one.
