Artic Tundra

Post by Skudmunky »

This came into being after I got back from Pick-a-Brick with about 1000 trans-white round 1x1s. I didn't want to make another waterfall, so I tried this instead.

I stacked the white 1x1s on top of trans-blue bricks
so that it would look
kind of like an icy light blue when the light shines through it

It worked out pretty well. I wish I had a trans-white or -blue baseplate, the gray plate detracts a bit from the icyness.

Wow! That looks really cool! The blue under the trans-white is totally awesome!

You can get the transparent baseplates in the mosaic sets.

This is an awesome idea! I can see where all of my trans 1x2 bricks could be used in similar ways, with the 1x1 rounds being used to add a little texture and depth on top. I don't have the quantity of 1x1 rounds you do, but I've got tons of trans brick.

I saw something similar in a vig on MOC pages recently, except it was lava rather than ice - very effective.
