It really wouldn't seem to do much, although since it is magic in the first place, anyone can make up what they want. For instance, they died when pierced throught the head, or heart, or anything else you want.

Perhaps if a crossbow bolt was used, it might be strong enough to shatter the skeleton's bone structure. But I think arrows would be fairly useless.

As to what sets I'm buying: the Crossbow Attack set looks fantastic. Two great soldiers and a skeleton and a skeletal horse and accessories all for less than £10. The Final Joust set goes without saying. The Prison Carriage is in also, for the knight alone (that's the only set he comes in). I'll get the King's Castle Siege for Christmas or my birthday (it'll be a long wait, but it'll be worth it).

Wow...that's the most Castle sets I'm getting since at least 2005. The future is bright.

I will be picking up all of the sets. However, as to how many of each, multiples of everything save the two fortifications.

The only problem would be where to put it all. :!: :)

Well I plan on getting the crossbow thingie at least twice. One Joust set for the new parts and knight. I'd like the prison wagon as long as it keeps the same five fig count. I would like to get at least one of the largers but I don't know if it's possible. If I do I probably will not get the joust. Of course if someone gives me the knight's catapult I'll gladly tale it!)

~Ziggy~who is really looking forward to the new sets and hopes to get good tips from his campers this summer!

The two I am planning on getting are:

1.) The big castle, mainly for the barding.

2.) The joust, mainly for the other barding.

Probably wait until S@H offers some bundle pack that has the entire line, with probably the second-smallest set free. You guys know the things I'm talking about.

I really can't decide on my 2 most wanted sets. Probably the castle and the joust, though, if I had to pick.

Ditto for me. I'll be picking up all the sets and probably 3 of the crossbow attack, maybe 2 jousts. My only problem is what the heck to do with all the skeletons. As it is now, all my skellies and ghosts reside in a ziploc bag marked "undead." I'm more into human factions.

In fact, I wish we could have had this new faction of knights go up against Vladek's forces--just get rid of the jellies and skellies all together. Anyway, that's what I'll be doing once I get these.

For me this summer was going to be all about castle, but now that I saw the new Mars Mission sets :D I'll be getting all of them (more than1 of the small sets). Now I will only buy 1 of each of the 4 smallest castle sets. Alas, I fear that I might go into a castle dark age!

Well, I'm guessing that it will probably be worthwhile to start up a trade on the Buy/Sell forum. Like you, I have zero interest in the "undead" faction. Perhaps a trade system can be set up where those who are looking to amass a large skelly army can trade with those who want a purely human faction.

Are they two different new scimitars?

If you look in the lower left corner, the skeleton in the foreground looks like he is wielding a scimitar that is the size of a classic sword and just above him int he background, the white and black skeleton look like they are wielding the scythe blade scimitars.

I got a question about the Crossbow attack guys.

I'm thinking about purchasing 4 of these and putting them on each corner of the castle I'm constructing. Does that sound like it'd be a good idea (don't say that's artistic license) in your opinion, or is it lame.

Oh, and I might also pick up the castle.

That doesn't sound too bad. Perhaps you could replace the wheels with a turntable so that it can pivit, but wont roll around.

You mean on the towers right? Thta'll be a great looking castle in size at least. It's a great idea, you see castles all the time with balstae and whatnot on the walls. One suggestion, put some sort of wedge behind each wheel and also make sure they'r well manned (3 to 4 guys per launcher.)
