German gathering folder on Brickshelf
Hi all,
I was just skimming through Brickshelf and found this recent folder from a "Jahresabschlusstreffen" (Yahoo translates that as "End-of-year Procedure Meeting", perhaps Jojo can shed more light on this?).
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=67605
Anyway, the folder isn't explicitly castle, so people here may have overlooked it, so I figured I'd highlight some creations of interest to castle-heads.
Amazing tan castle. Does anyone know who built this?

And this cattail idea should really be added to Anthony's "building foliage" summary:

Holy Crap! I am rocked back on my heels. The money it would take to buy all that tan, and all the roof pieces! This is stunning! The Germans in particular seem to lead the pack in medieval stuff. They live in and around it all the time fercryinoutloud! I got to meet a couple of these guys at BrickFest PDX. Good people. Gee, I wonder if my kids would go barefoot all summer so I could use the shoe money on tan... WHAP! (wife brings him back to reality). Ah well...

These picture were taken at the End-of-the-Year Meeting 2003 in Frechen near Colongne. Brickshelf is down at the moment, so you can have to visit this gallery.
Notice the full functional funfair! Everthing works with Legopower. Or the huge pirateship or, or, or...
It was a nice meeting and I really enjoyed visiting it!

what I really want...
... is one of those Black Falcon t shirts!
Awesome MOCs too. I'm not sure I'm so crazy about the actual design of the tan castle (one of my pet peeves is corners without turrets and I think round towers especially should project from the walls), but it's very cool to see how the builder managed to curve the one wall just by using shedloads of 1 by 2s.
