Wow, this guy has some great stuff. The architecture is super and I love the fountain sculpture.
He also has a couple really nice mini castle MOCs in other folders.
Thanks for pointing this out.

Wow. This stuff is great. But... why am I not surprised that it's for a train layout? It's really annoying that trainheads can build better town and castle than many townies and most castlers.

Personally, I don't think this is THAT good. Do those blue technic bars bend? And is that a real clock?

Those "blue" technic bars are in fact old railway tracks. The first LEGO trains used blue, not grey rails. As for the watch/clock in the train station; I'm not sure. And honestly, I think a majority of builders would be very happy if they could achieve results like these. This fellow is quite talented.

I doubt he was, and I doubt someone who does more minifig oriented things and has never actually tried building a diorama to be able to understand how amazing this is to someone like me. You really can't say that the bridge isn't WIN material.Blueandwhite wrote:I hope your joking.Tanotrooper wrote:Personally, I don't think this is THAT good. Do those blue technic bars bend? I am quite impressed by this. Not only is there a large quantity of buildings, but they're all very well built.
I really like the structure of this building, and of course, those bridges are awesome.
Thanks for the link!

Yeah, I'd be happy to be able to build something as cool as the tudor building in the first picture.Blueandwhite wrote:I think a majority of builders would be very happy if they could achieve results like these. This fellow is quite talented.

Hey LR,
Thanks for posting on this. I just saw this on Brickshelf and was going to come over here to start a thread. As a castle guy, I first noticed things like these:
I really like how that building on the right in the first pic complements the MOC Blacksmith Shop set.
However, the whole layout is beautiful. Probably my favorite bits are this dark red factory and the brilliant use of old track elements in the bridge.
Looking around his Brickshelf gallery, his stuff has a very classic LEGO feel. It's like the great creations you used to see in the Idea Books.

Fabulous... That first large tudor building is fantastic. I like the use of the small lattice fence for detail - I am so going to use that. I also love the details on the yellow house, especially the use of cogs above the windows for detailing. Of course that bridge is awesome. Yes, this is THAT good.

Do those windows exist in dark red? I think it's just red, with a different lightning.
I'm not saying it's bad, cause it's certainly not, but he uses technics i've already seen, so they don't impress me.
And I have my freedom of speech.

Well, I think its pretty darn cool. Maybe there are no ground-breaking techniques, but so what? That layout took some real talent. I am impressed. I think my personal favorite is the mosque, but that train station comes in a close second. Very, very nice.

No one said you couldn't speak your mind, but I would like to point out that, technically, you don't have "your" freedom of speech. There is no guarantee of freedom of speech on a privately-owned forum. If you wish to discuss this concept further, I am more than willing. Please send me a Private Message though, as this is way off-topic.Tanotrooper wrote:And I have my freedom of speech.

There are very few builders who have actually developed or implemented a new technic. The excellent use of existing technics, as well as the consistant production of high-quality MOCs is generally enough to impress most AFOLs. Heck, how many builders on Classic-Castle can be said to have developed a new technic? Probably only a handful. I suppose this would mean the rest of us are just mediocre by your standards.
I can live with that.
