Cemetery of St. Anthony's Cathedral

Post by plums_deify »

I'd like to present a very small portion of a larger MOC: The cemetery that is on the grounds of St. Anthony's Cathedral. (Yes, it finally has a name! :D)

There's a sort of shady, partially developed storyline that goes along with this whole thing, and I suppose this explains part of it. Who knows.

On to the MOC!

Here's a particularly bad arial shot of the smallish cemetery.

Of particular interest is the partially-dug grave, complete with tenant: The Valiant King, now long deceased. Though, why his old bones are hanging halfway out of his grave, I know not. :P

I'm particularly proud of the old Oak tree that sits alongside the open grave. I worked hard on that darn thing.

Finally, the military portion of the cemetery. The little wedges looked uniform, which reminds me of the endless rows of white crosses often seen at cemeteries. (No, this is NOT any sort of political statement. It's just a MOC, which really does have a context that I can't mention. Yet.)

So there we go. Nothing spectacular, but I wanted to share. :)

I like that, especially the area around the tree an the small grave (COOL LIANES!).
I would try to improve landscaping, adding some details like flowers or plants or work on the footpath will give the MOC a new dimension and a more natural feeling.
Anyway very good MOC.

Nice, I agree with Baggins though that it needs some more landscaping. Might be a good idea to raise the ground level with green plates & bricks to get some uneveness going there, you can make the grave a little deeper then too

Same as the others have sai, you need a little more landscaping but I do love the grey statue on the left grave. Also the way you have the vine wrapping aroung the one on the right is excellent.

The patron saint of lost articles? (Or... lost causes?) A plea for help in finding that one missing piece that you know you have, and you saw just a while ago, but completely eludes you now? Yeah... I know what that's like.

Nice little grave. Not sure I'd call it a graveyard, but with more than one headstone, I suppose it qualifies.

Someone got the reference! Cookies for you.

(It has nothing to do with the fact that my fiance's name is Anthony...no...not at all! ;))

This is a great little MOC. All it needs is a bit more landscaping, and it's perfect.
