Because that minifig is rare, and plus it is from a Ninja set. There are a lot of people who want Ninja sets right now, so it makes the price higher.

Ninja Princesses are so expensive becuase they are rare. The expensive things are either really old, produced in only 1-2 sets, or never set out in a set at all. This goes for the princess. Only out in one set.

Because she is white and she is pure. And because she can kill many minifigs with her bare hands.

Bricklink is a great place for parts... but not for minifigs. Rare parts or figs are generally very overpriced on Bricklink. With a bit of searching and some luck, you probably would do better to look on ebay. Remember, alot of people buy sets predominantly for the figs. Bricklink sellers know that, and will make you pay big.

In Christ,
Actually there were two sets that came with the Ninja Princess.

These are promotional sets made by Kabaya and only released in Japan.

I would definitely agree with this statement. But sometimes the prices paid for on eBay can be just as ridiculous. – I have experienced this with Jango Fett. He is extremely expensive on both eBay and Bricklink.

Again I would fully agree, I have bought several Forestwomen reasonably cheap (in comparison to Bricklink) over the years on eBay. – You just have to know where to look. :D

The green ninjas are even more rare and command about the same prices. And I still don't have them, dang it! :)

Wow! You are absolutely correct. I didn't know that about the green ninjas. So would the ranking (based on rarity and price) be something like this.

1. White Ninja
2. Green Ninja
3. Red Ninja
4. Grey Ninja
5. Black Ninja

i am a pretty big ninja theme fan... i have 3 white ninjas (used to have 4 but sold one) in my collection

i would rank white ninjas as the most rare (FMV $20)... the green ninjas used to be cheaper, but somehow they are catching up in terms of price and rarity.

then you have the red old samurai, red young samurai, red shogun (with black ninja armor), old red ninja master (basically red ninja but with a rare head), and blue "captain" samurai (not rare, but only comes in the ninja fortress set).

otherwise, red/gray/black ninajs, and blue samurai are pretty common.
