Minifig Parts and Accessories Jambalaya Box. Interested?

Post by aaronsneary »

As per my post on LUGNET, we are starting a Minifig Parts and Accessories Jambalaya box. If you don't know what they are, here's an explanation.
  • Any themes and all minifig weapons and accessories are invited. But no
Scala, Belville, or technic fig items.

It is not directly related to LUGNET, so yes, non-LUGNET members may participate.

I'm not sure yet what the shipping cost will be.

I am limiting this Jambalaya to 10 people in the US, to keep shipping down and turn-around short.
If you are interested, send me an email to aaron AT snearys DOT com

Let me reiterate to any/all that this is very much a good-faith project. It is expected that everyone will contribute good stuff (no 50 Jar-Jar heads), fill the box back to the previous fill level, and keep the turn-around time short.

Sounds like too much of a hassle to me, especially with the existance of PaB and bricklink. Also with regards to shipping that much stuff... it might get costly.

Mailed out yesterday to Ondrew. You'll find pre-addressed shipping labels inside when you receive it. (if you signed up).

And I was just thinking of asking if it had been shipped yet… Anywho, do you think you could post a list of the order of people its going to?

Great! I'm excited to about this. Like Pacman, I would like to see the list of people too. Just so I know when my turn might be coming around.

Yeah, I was too late with my shipping address for this one. I have heard that there is a possibility of a second one, though. Stress, possibility.

This sounds like a great idea. It would obviously require a lot of trust on all the participants involved.

Have fun everyone who is involved.

Note: I would love to be involved, but I live on another continent.

Roy T. Cook has sent off the box:
Well, I have recieved, processed, and shipped off the jambalaya box.

There was a lot of good stuff. Notable things that I snatched:

A shark and two swordfish Two turquoise katanas Some heads that I did not have before An old space fig A handful of black muskets

(I took a lot more than this, but these were for me the highlights).

I am pretty sure that I put back in at least as much as I took out - both in
terms of quality and quantity (definitely quantity, since the pile of stuff I put in was about 1 1/2 times the amount I took out, volume-wise. Quality is, of course, a more subjective matter. Nevertheless, I threw in a couple things that people might think are ‘finds’!)

Where's Josh?

Josh Wedin to the front counter please!

Roy sent the minifig box to you about a week ago, and I have not heard from you.

Please let us know that you have received and/or mailed on to the next person the minifig jambalaya box.

I'm here. Sorry, Aaron, I meant to write to you last night, but I've been really busy. Anyway, I got the box and it is on its way to the next person. It was mailed yesterday. I took some torsos, helmets and horse accessories and I added a bunch of torsos (space and such), several stacks of heads, minifig utensils, some spiders, some shields, and one non-production piece, namely a clear one of these.

Clear horse hitching... *drool*

Thanks for the update, Josh, I'm going to repost your post to LUGNET and Classic Space, unless you want to do that.
