Dragon's Armored Transport

Post by plums_deify »

So, I actually built a MOC today. I was going to use the massive amount of dark green I got at the pick-a-brick today, but that didn't inspire me. ;)

Where this came from, I don't know. BUT! That's okay, cause this will work in the display at NWBC this year.

Anywhoo. The MOC.

Nothing too special. I was just playing around with ideas, and this sort of popped up. It's an armored transport for...something. Who knows. Gold? Food? Cargo of questionable legality?

But!

I'm fond of this, and I don't know why: This is where the horses are attached, if you will, to the cart itself. It just works for me. No clue why.

For the record, black is a terrible color to take pictures of.

Looks great Caylin! I just saw this on Flickr and jumped on over to reply. I really like this, despite black being a horrible color to photograph (oh, I know, think WP... )

Anywhoozles, I really do like this. It's evil looking and very threatening, but not overboard at all, a really nice balance if you ask me. My favorite two details are the 'double' door/ramp on the back and the horse attatchment (looks close to authentic anyways).

Hmm, if you can't think of anything do do with all that dark green I'd be happy to take it off yer hands! BTW I'm still not sure if I can make it to NWBC...

Interesting. I quite like it. A double wide version would be very nifty and imposing!

God Bless,

Hey,

Very cool. Too bad it wasn't a couple of days earlier as this would have been a good entry in the "Prisoner Wagon" category of the contest.

That's what I was thinking, too, but sometimes, you just can't control the Muse.;)

Jango, the green dragon's head (yes, I have it) is actually still attached to said dragon. I think he's cool, so he's not getting deconstructed.

Thanks, All. I may just continue doing stuff with this line. It reminds me a bit of the Dragon Masters with a bit more attitude. :)

Nice, I've never seen anyone done a wagon like that. It's unique, the way the horses are attached to it is smart.

very cool Darkie.
I can almost see He-man bustin Man-at-arms outta there and Skeletor raging about his big 'ol snake castle.
and the best part is definitely how the horses attach to the cart. very very nice.

and yes.. black sucks to take pictures of. SO durn hard to get the details!

Great MOC! I'll echo Bruce- It's too bad this wasn't entered in the contest, because I'm sure it would have won. The white pieces complement the black by giving a skeletal effect to the cart. By the way, I think that you can enhance this by replacing the black horses with the skeletal ones when the new Castle line comes out.
