A Yellow Castle – but not as you know it.

Post by g2 »

I came across this interesting yellow castle on Brickshelf today and I thought that I would share the link.

Even though the castle itself is not massive or too flamboyant, I found the design to be very interesting. I especially like the gate design.

What does everyone else think?

This is not my creation.

I like it, this builder must have been commited to collect so much yellow. The red and black really compliments the yellow in my opinion.

Really nice! I like the little guy at the gate "bringing home dinner"

I really like how the yellow looks with all that dark grey. The gate design is also superb; I have to try it. :D

Great find, George!

This is a really cool yellow castle. He used the rocks in it to make it look authentic, and also he made a cool black roof to go along with it.
I LOVE THE AWESOME gate.

This is a very good MOC done in the traditional yellow castle style. I wonder if he entered this for CCC- I remember that either I or II had a yellow castle category.

The gate design looks quite familiar, reminiscent of this entry in CCCIV by stambi!

Is this one of his other works?

While I'm not a big fan of yellow castles (sorry folks, the yellow castle 375 isn't anywhere in my top 5 lego castle sets, but I really like the figs), but that said, I think the castle is very well designed, and the rock actually complements the castle very well :D

Hi,
yes, this is another MOC by Stambi, which he made for Svitavy expo. He made the whole lowest part of this showcase.

Nice looking showcase. I need to get one of those glass display cases for my Lego. The only problem is to try and convince my wife. :D

Very nice! I knew it was Stambi as soon as I saw the yellow brick & landscaping, & then I saw the gate ;)

This look so much better than the original Yellow Castle. I agree that the gate design looks really good, although it reminds me more of Arabian building than European ones.
