Viking Chess Half Off in USA
I read somewhere that only the very first batch of "chessboards" were unglued. And the first batch of chessboards were for a different chess set too!Jansen wrote:I recieved mine and I love it. But I was one of the unlucky to get one where everything is glued!! But it is definately worth the purchase.
If you get an unglued one, you're lucky: there's a whitebaseplate!
I think most people were just worried that the figs themselves were glued together.

Can anybody verify conclusively that the 'figs in this set are glued together?
Being a Lego Builder and not so much a Lego Collector glued parts are useless to me. While I do have a collection, it's a collection of parts, not sets. I see no value in glued Lego's.
Any help would be appreciated as I am considering buying this set.

They are glued, but their accessories, heads and helms are not. I have five of 'em ordered over their entire product run.LORD DOOM wrote:Can anybody verify conclusively that the 'figs in this set are glued together?

Only the Queen figs are actually glued together, and that is only her shirt and torso. These are pretty easily seperated. The board is glued, as are some parts on the rooks and knights.LORD DOOM wrote:Can anybody verify conclusively that the 'figs in this set are glued together?

By the way, this set is also available half-price in Canada. Just ordered one today; I wasn't a big Viking fan, but since I don't have a lot of any one castle faction, 24 figs for $35CAD was too good to pass up.

Oh yeah, the figs in mine weren't glued together just the rooks(the shields come off), knights, and the baseplate. The reason I was so mad about the baseplate was because I don't need all the minifigs, but the baseplate would be good for a winter scene.Jansen wrote:

I didn't get armoured Bish's in the first one I got, when they originally came out. I don't think it's supposed to come with any for them, despite the shop-at-home picture.
...and that's how Equestria was made!
