Time to post the series intro

Post by Mike Viper »

Hey all, I posted the first two mocs here, but they quickly became a series of creepy Bignettes, and I'm ready to post'em all in the order I made them (if I can remember the order).

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=263870

The hanging field, seemingly a torture ground, the dead souls must have suffered much beyond the penalty.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=264280

A shrine with a white skull in place, constructed sturdily and well-kept.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=264031

Skull trench, a passage containing skulls of lost souls.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=264033

A battle between two skulls has taken place here, leaving to mystery as to why they fought.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=264279

This body was completely missed, one of my top creepiest mocs in the series.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=265644

A sally port....possibly? It's small, but to distinguished to be a sally port, and there seems to have been a battle here as well.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=265641

A shrine, this time with a black skull in place, and a whole new architecture.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=263872

One of my faves, a bone pit. Just full of bones. Creepy.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=265643

My favorite pun. It's a Rib Cage, or, ribcage, made out of giant creature ribs...from the creatures ribcage.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=265640

Last but not least, Irony cliff. These knights have no idea what's beneath them.

Heres the gal incase I missed one: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=200133

They are subfolders from which my viking fortress abides.

Hope you like'm.
I ow it to wunztwice for directing me here.

Interesting series. Do they all fit together to form a larger MOC? If not, you might want to consider that, it would look really cool.

You've got too many to comment on all of them, so I'll just say I like the trench the best, its got the most aesthetically pleasing color and style to me.

These are really cool. My favorites are Cliff Irony, Possible Monument, Possible Sallyport, and Ribcage.

The only thing I don't like in these is the presence of blood... you'd think it would've long been washed away or covered by greenery and dirt; unless there's some strange phenomenon in that land in which bodies decompose extremely quickly.

I love the Black Skull Shrine, the Rib Cage, and the Bone Pit. The first two have a very eldritch feel with the giant bones coming right up out of the ground. The Bone Pit makes you wonder what twisted, arcane rituals were once performed there.

I really like the SNOT work on the wall section in "Sallyport" That wall section reminds me of Nockmarr Castle in the movie Willow.

Throughout all of them I like the landscaping, the mix of colours and texture is believable.

BTW have you ben getting my PMs?

This is all very interesting, is there a story that goes along with the MOCs? The skeleton trapped inside the bones is neat, almost like a bone cage.

These are all wonderful! good landscaping and idea. I like Cliff irony the best. Area these all built at the same time? As Steve said, these would look great all together.

I wish I could have, but these are all built on the same baseplate, the one from HP lines Aragog, so it won't be possibly, sadly.

That, or...the bodies aren'y human

The main story is that this land was discovered and conquered without bloodshed by norman people, judging by the helm shape. They are now discovering things that make them wish they hadn't found the land.

Glad everyone likes them.
