I'm assuming you mean Bricklink. ;) And, yes, I do. Try Brick-A-Thon. Type in "special" in the store search. Lots of non-production pieces....

Black Ghost is ok, but my favorite is the clear ghost, I remember seeing it at Magic Bricks a while back and putting some serious thought into buying it, but I never broke down and did it.

..Maybe when I get a job.

Another one off the tip of my tongue is LEGO Bank (Or something along those lines.), I won my first Bricklink Auction from them and am waiting patiently for my 25 green helms to arrive. :)

I didn't order anything else from them, but I do believe they had a few rare items around (Plenty Green helms , I'm sure.).

Here's the store

There's also M&R's Lego Vault They're not in the US, but they always have a decent amount of those green helms. That's actually run by two great guys over from EB (Copmike and Ras). They have lots of those green helms, I actually bought from them back before I knew who they were  Great store with great customer service

If recall correctly, Jojo has the complete collection of these ghosts on his brickshelf. Are they really Lego products, or are they after market customs? And where do they come from?

Actually a couple of people have them now. They're genuine lego (Lego has, in fact, acknowledged the red ghost as the collectors item :-P). The red was made, I believe, as a prototype, as red showed stress marks best when they were testing the mold. The clear and black were likely later made for legoland displays, LUGs, prototypes for sets, etc.

They're all real.

Interesting. Who recognized this? I am curious. Of course LEGO employees do know which elements are rare, such as white pigtails. But I wouldn't say that one ultra rare element is more important than another.

Well, perhaps I should have worded myself more carefully, as I have not heard this directly from the horses mouth. I heard this through a second party...
I think it´s real - no worries. I think LEGO has recognized this item as THE piece that collectors dream about.
Very reliable guy, though I need to be more careful about how I word it! You have to admit though, the red ghost has become the standard to which rare parts are set, it's what everything is compared against these days, and had started most collectors on the path of collecting in the first place. It honestly wouldn't surprise me. So while one element may not be more rare or important on the outside, the red ghost has had the most lasting affect in the AFOL community to be sure.

I definitely hold a special place in my heart for the rare ghosts :P

Oops, its a different store that uses "special" as a tag for non-production pieces. Brickathon has a bunch, but you have to go through each category and look for them. Its a hunt, but they are there. Sorry about that.

Thanks a lot Josh. I meant to type Bricklink but I was very tired when I made that post.
