2007 Christmas Fig Exchange

Post by JoshWedin »

Happy Holidays to you all!

Once again its time to get organized and plan out the Christmas Fig Exchange. Recluce has been kind enough to help me run this by overseeing the custom part of things. So without further ado, here are the rules:

Christmas Fig Exchange Rules

1. The deadline for signing up is Dec. 10th.

2. The fig you exchange should have accessories.

3. The minifig doesn't need to be an official castle fig, as long as it's useable in a castle setting. Some Star Wars fig parts are acceptable, as well as Oriental Expedition, Harry Potter, etc. If you have concerns about a particular piece, ask your trading partner if they consider it "Castle".

4. Try to keep the value of the fig around 5 dollars or so. However, this is merely a guideline. If you want to send out a Forestwoman to your partner, feel free. Just don't expect something as valuable in return!

5. If you wish to participate, post a message in this thread. Tell us roughly where you live so that we can try to match you up with someone close. "Try" being the operative word here.

6. A list of the exchange partners will be posted after the 10th. It is then your responsibility to contact your partner and trade addresses and/or make arrangements to exchange figs. It is up to you and your partner to decide whether or not to keep the figs secret or to share a "wish list".

7. If you sign up and then do not send out a fig, take months to complete the trade, or cause other kinds of havoc in this exchange, you will not be allowed to participate next year. So bear that in mind if you think you will have problems.

8. Have Fun!

The following is the information needed by Recluce and myself:

Username?

Location?

Will exchange Custom Figs?

Willing to ship outside your own country?

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. If you run into problems with you exchange partner, let me know right away, please.

Thank you!
Josh

Fine Print: I am not running this exchange in my official Mod capacity. This is not a sanctioned/official Classic-Castle event. Basically that means you are participating at your own risk. If you send off that fully-loaded fig wearing the Red Ghost and wielding double black swords and you get nothing in return, I can't do anything about that. I will try but there is nothing I can do to fix broken exchanges.

I'm in. NV, USA, purist, prefer to stay US only, but if you need another international shipper, to balance it out, I'll go international.

No thanks.

Sorry, nope. I'd rather keep it in the U.S.

EDIT: In responce to Recluse's clarification, in the interests of not committing to something rash, I'll stick to "purist".
Glad to ship international.

No-go on the customs. I like em, but I don't have the ability to do one of my own. :(

I'd like to stay US, please. :)

I will not be making a custom, therefore I do not want to be in the custom exhchange.
