Do you eat while you build, if so what do you eat?

Post by boses »

When I build I like to eat an array of junk food, from potato chips to pork rinds, instant soups to popcorn. What do you like to eat while you build?

Not usually. The greasy finger foods make it hard to build, and you can get food crumbs all over your MOC.

But Mountain Dew, there's something I like to drink while building.

Oh wow... pork rinds... I hadn't thought of them in years... my dad forced me to stop eating them when I was young, but I'm tempted to buy a bag now (if they have them here) 8)

I rarely eat when building - same reason as Dr. J gave - although like you boses, I have been known to eat instant noodles when building.

I don't eat anything unless it is totally mess free. Usually that boils down to hard candy or something else that won't interrupt my building. Drink of choice is tea.

Food, none at all because I hate crumbs/grease on my MOC. I do often pour myself some Coke to drink but almost every time I blink and realize I have been building for 90 minutes or more and have not touched my drink!

Only if I'm so engrossed in what I'm building and require nourishment will I ever eat around my Lego. I avoid it as best as possible for the simple fact that I dun' wanna spill on my Lego and have it all sticky and dirty. Although it's rare you'll ever see me building without a cup o' coffee or tea a few feet away.

I suppose some bite-size candies would make good building companions.

I never eat or drink when I'm building.
If I'm hungry or thirsty, I'll just take a break and get something.

While your on a break, thats also a good time to let new building ideas enter your head. I don't really see the point in eating while building, unless your in a hurry to finish your moc.

I usually don't eat either. It takes too much concentration to build to add eating to that. Plus if you forget which hand the bricks are in and which hand the food is in you could find yourself in a mess...

I try and keep my bricks as oil-free as possible. That means that I don't mix my eating with my building (love both though). If I want to eat, I'll do it separately. Still, the idea of eating and building doesn't bother me or anything so absurd. Eat/build on!

I do normally have a can of Pepsi close at hand, but never any food, for the same reasons as stated above.
