Funny, I usually ask for a gift reciept with my Lego purchases, just to avoid the quizzical glances of others

Its an age thing for me. When I buy Lego I just don't care what others think. I'm very public with my Lego hobby anymore.

And I did, evidently...I sent that from my BlackBerry. I think I've quoted with that once before and had it triple post. Hmm...

LOL! To each their own. In a small southern area, there's usually a cousin or two checking people out. I don't like having to explain things too often to too many people. But when my cousins come over, they get an earful about staying away from my Legos!
The term "Hobby" allows you to explain to your relatives why you still play with toys...

I have read reviews that mention an oven in the mine kitchen.

Anyone care to share pictures or descriptions of how this is done? I'm working on a castle kitchen and could use some inspiration
thanks!

I ordered mine from S@H last Sunday, and it got here on Thursday. So props to S@H for getting it to me so quick. :P On to the set, WOW. This really is one of the best sets to be released in the past couple of years, and is truly a high point in the new Castle series. I literally spent 20 minutes just putting the figures together, they're really breathtaking. The dwarves' helmets are to die for, and the beards are what every Castle fan has been waiting for ever since we saw the Vikings preliminary pictures. The troll is the unexpected high point of the set- there are limitless possibilities when deciding what to do with it. The fact that it can hold a minifig in its hand is also a nice touch. The actual set is great, and the building techniques used are varied; which keeps the construction exciting. Another great thing about the set is the accessories- eight bronze axe heads, two golden goblets, armor, a grill helm, dwarf shields, eight crystals, two 2x2 barrels, and pick-axes in bley are really, really great. Overall, the set gets a 10 out of 10 from me for sheer brilliance, and I hope that 2008 brings more sets like this one.

Lego probably intended that to be the oven, considering the food and wine, but I took those things out and moved in the anvil so that the oven became a forge.

I was hoping to buy this set, but I can't find it anywhere on the Lego shop website. I searched for the set name and the set number, but it came up with nothing. Could someone post a link to the S@H page?

I was, too, but this set has been discontinued at S@H.

That seems to be the subject of some debate:
some knowers of all state no
other knowers of all state yes

A recent thread on this subject has been locked due to a urinating contest.

One thing that all these kind souls agreed on, however, was that we all hope it is released again in the late winter/early spring.
