CCC V MOCs by LBaixinho

Post by tbaixinho »

Hi,

Luís Baixinho is having problems when trying to register on the forum.

That's why I'm posting his MOCs for CCCV.

1 - D. Inês de Castro Coronation:

2 - Pursuit Into The Underworld

3 - Return of the king Sebastian

These are some great mocs.
For me the best is the Tax Collector's House, full of good details and advanced building techniques, I love the windows and the balcony.

D. Ines de Castro:

A very nice MOC! The thrones are very nice, and I have always liked baseplateless MOCs, and yours is no exception!

Pursuit Into The Underworld:

I love all of the detail in this MOC. The statues are simple but very nice, and the slopes around the edge are very nice looking. Great job!

The Return of D. Sebastiao king of Portugal:

I very nice little vignette, I like the mood it gives.

Tax Collector's House:

I love the SNOT battlements and the lattice fances used at the end of the railing. Very nice work here all around!

All of these MOCs are very nice and I wish you the best of luck in the contest.

Luís asked me to post this:

Thanks for your comments.

I think that some MOCs deserve a small description.

D. Inês de Castro Coronation is about a well-known Portuguese royal love story. You can see the story at wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In%C3%AAs_de_Castro). I don't know how Hollywood didn't make a movie about this yet :)

The Return of King Sebastiao is about a Portuguese legend that also you can see at wikipedia here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sebastian_of_Portugal (the legend section). So I tried to do something opposite to the D. Inês de Castro MOC. Something simple (I only use four types of elements beside the minifig and horse) and ironic (I use the Timmy head to symbolize the king, and you can read the wikipedia article to know the idea). Using white plates 1x4 for the fog was one of the funniest things that I ever made with LEGO :D

Pursuit Into The Underworld has a lovely chilling effect and is a wonderful MOC, drawing you in rather than jumping out at you and hinting at more for the eye. Great work!

God Bless,

These are all very nice creations. I especially like Pursuit Into the Underworld. The use of slopes around the edges is cool and gives it a unique feel, and the way the white structure contrasts with the landscape is very neat.
