Stonehenge

This was built for the upcoming March 2008 "Around the World in 80 Days" themed TexLUG display (I originally, but wrongly, called it the "Wonders of the World" themed display). I was originally going to build it "as it was," complete and whole, but my wife convinced me to build it "as it is," and I think I did a pretty decent job, considering I'm working with inventory scraps and leftovers.

Very recognizable, I have never seen a LEGO Stonehenge before. Awesome job, Tony (It's great to see some MOCs coming from you :) )

Thanks! It's great to be building on a semi-regular basis again, even if they aren't castle per-se.

There have been a few LEGO Stonehenges built in the past, but only a couple that even resemble *the* Stonehenge, and mine is the only one I've seen that tries to represent it's current ruined state.

Your Stonehenge looks great. Just for fun, you might want to add some t-shirt vendors or the like. Stonehenge is a bit of tourist trap these days.

These are the only other stonehenges I've seen.

Three aren't exactly Stonehenge, but rather stone henges (the difference being that these aren't modeled after THE Stonehenge, they're just rings of stones)

And the one being a pretty decent model of what Stonehenge might have looked like 'back in the day'.
