I picked up two of the Knights Battlepacks at the Tyson's Corner Lego store on March 16th for 12.99 USD. Not as good a value as the Tic-tac-toe set, but I did like getting five different minifigs.
Yes, you can find them on Lego.com, If you guys know of any store (wal-Mart, Target, K-mart, ect..) that has them please PM me. Now if Lego made Orcs, Dwarfs and Elves in battle packs I would definatlly have to get some.
The battle packs are being sold in lego stores now in the US. However, they are selling out at a very rapid pace. One store sold all of theirs in 4 days and they are waiting for another shipment.
TO me the battlepack. The impulse is 2.50 for me for one guy. The battle pack is 6.50 for five, which is 1.30 each. I also do not want a million of the simple knight soldiers...
If I remember right the impulses are 3.50 and the battle packs are 13.
So the battlepack is 2.60 each so .90 cents less than the impuslse set per man. It is funny the impulses are actually cheaper there than here, the battle backs are basically the same price.
My problem is deciding if I wish to buy a battle pack over the dwarf mine defender.... one is crownies or skellies, the other is a dwarf and two troll/orcs... hard to say.
I also do not want a million of the simple knight soldiers...
A very valid point here... What i like about the battle pack (knights) is the diversity of units. Of course it is what you want, but i very much like the crossbowman and the pikeman in the battlepack. The knight with chrome sword and full armor is cool as well. The basic spearman is also present here...
But if you like uniformity you might choose the impulse set, since you can buy for the same money, a lot more "the same" units...
