catapult

Post by Nede23 »

Here is my new MOC. It´s fully functional. When the black bar is pulled, shooting arm launch a projectile. Firing range for 1*1 brick is 1,4 metres. For that special projectile it´s about 1,2 metres. If arm is pulled by finger, range prolong´s about 1 metre. Enjoy!

Nede23,

Very cool. I really like how it looks very good and has a very good range as well. 1.4-1 meters is a good distance.

A couple questions. Do the arms provide the power or the lower rubberband at the base or do both add to its power? I thought you had rubberbands at the arms as well but it was hard to tell if they added to the power of the catapult or were for looks alone.

Thanks for the post. An awesome siege engine.

Both provide the power. But the lower rubberband is primary. Rubberbands at the arms are there for bigger firing range. There is indeed one rubberband that goes throught the catapult and it only holds the arms in position. Maybe I should post here pics of that part partioned in pieces. I am not so good in English to describe it properly.
Prepare to be imitated
I like to see another work with similar theme from other people, it´s inspiring! :D

Nice work, you could always take pictures of deconstruction, That would make perfect instructions. :)
