Hello
This is a battle scene originally constructed for the Battles Contest. Unfortunately, time constraints and camera issues made it impossible to meet the deadline.
This battle depicts a group of Skeletons, aided by evil mercenaries from the north, assaulting Wychwoode Gate. Defending is King Alexander of Ascott-Under-Wychwoode, assisted by his staunch ally, Sir Row of Piddletenthide. (All names come courtesy of a good friend of mine.)

Not much criticism to do here. Great walls, great gate. The landscaping is just the right amount for a good battle scene. Great job on the gore too.

While it is big, the wall is kinda bland Edit: I mean those towers on either side of the gate, not the wall itself, that's good. I like the rocks and trees you put in but you need some elevation variation. The road needs to be not so straight and lower than the rest of the ground. Also, the battle is very sparse, spread out. It's still pretty decent, though.

The towers need some windows. Otherwise the wall is perfect. You do need some elevation variation and a way of minimizing the seams between the baseplates. Also, the whole battle looks too spread out. It's hard to imagine the sequence of events that would have led up to this event. Besides the skeletons and crown knights, I can't really tell who's on what side. The battering ram looks good, but what's with all the fire? And where did it all come from? I like the two forestmen, strolling along the path, leisurely eating apples. Also, it seems to me that you have more vegetation inside the castle walls than out. It needs a little work, but it's a great large-scale battle.

To open for my liking, but then most people don't like close, heated, battles. This is definetly very well built, especially this shot of the wall decorations, and the flying spear.
