Gray- Bluish or Normal
Hello fellow castlers...
Which colors do you guys prefer to build your castles-
The normal light/dark gray or the newer light/dark BLUISH gray?
The Bluish colors are cheaper and more plentiful in some stores down here in Australia, and i bought a whole heap of them.
Just hoping they will look good

I build primarily in light bluish grey myself (see BS gallery in the link in my sig), they are generally cheaper & have a wider array of elements. The older colours are out of production so are generally more costly. I think both look great, personally, I think we are pretty much done with the bley stigma - here's hoping.
BTW welcome to CC, great to see another fellow Aussie on the forums - there a couple of us here

That's exactly why i use bluish gray. It's very hard to build up a collection with old gray, so almost a year ago, when i bought the king's castle siege, I decided to switch to bley. I now have much more bley than old gray.DARKspawn wrote:I build primarily in light bluish grey myself (see BS gallery in the link in my sig), they are generally cheaper & have a wider array of elements. I think light-bley looks ok, but i don't really like dark-bluish-gray, it doesn't really look like stone, but more like iron or something like that.

That's what I do.melonkernel wrote:I like both. I intend to mix them up not regarding their differences.

I prefer the older ones, because the new bluish ones look more metalic than stone.
But I do more building with the new colors, becaue they are cheaper and easier to come by. And most of my old grey is at my parents.

I actually like the new light gray over the old, because of how its yellowed (I mean the old one does). However, the new dark grey sucks, it just doesn't look good, but sadly, I build with it cause I have it.

I like blueish gray! Because it's cheaper and it looks cleaner.

I have both, but I mostly build castles with old grey (both shades), the old dark grey feels so much more like rock to me.
If you have a smallish collection of old grey, at this point I would start collecting bley to build with anymore. Old grey will only get harder/more expensive to get as time goes on...
