Seconded. In case you didn't catch my drift, I LIKE this theme - there's a lot of cool, new parts here.

Meh. References to EB just shows apathy towards posting original reviews and commentary on Classic-Castle.com.

Since I didn't have any sets, I can't really do a review. As to commentary, since I haven't even seen the sets on the shelves, I don't have much commentary to make. Besides some people may find the reviews helpful.

I don't own these sets either, nor have I seen them on the shelves. I'm just saying this is C-C, and who here doesn't know the existence of the EB website? If they want to read people's posts there, I reckon they will just go there themselves. :)

That volcano base is quite impressive with all the lava running down. I thought that was someone's MOC when I first saw it.

The trans blue octopus is kind of cool as well.

Just what every evil scientist villain needs, a volcano fortress.

Are those dark/burnt orange burps, or is that just the effect of the lava?

After you mentioned that I went back and looked again in this picture

I believe that you're right! Dark/burnt orange burps would be nice.

These sets look pretty cool. I wonder why they didn't just try to make them into super heroes and villians? They already had Alpha team, and they coulda made a cool card game out of this theme as well. But who really cares, thats what our imaginations are for. They've given us some good starter sets if someone was inclined to go in that direction

I am so gonna play Magdar with the volcano set and my dwarf minifigures, now all I need is a demon!

I don't really like the other sets but I do like the new shark sculpt and the cyborg arm may prove useful one day.

I am much more excited about these sets than the lure of the coming Star Wars Clone Wars collection. They do look like they'd blend well with Alpha Team, and LEGO story concepts often beat licensed sets IMHO. And no fleshies.

I really like some of the elements in these new sets. I just got a small batch in for parting and I love the new hair pieces LEGO is coming out with. There are a lot of dark blue (new pieces) in these, along with some interesting parts that I've not seen much before.

Should be a good batch - and I agree, they DO seem to mesh well with the Alpha Team series.

It's also nice to see more chrome colors (even though they're officially Metallic) - the new metallic gold flat top is pretty awesome!
