Again, those are pretty amazing. I have been looking for an image of the yellow and blue flag to try and make a shield design. With what I could find and what you have done is fantastic, keep it up.

I suppose you print them directly onto the fabric and then cut them out? What do you use for fabric so it does not unravel? Or do you burn the edges or something? They really are quite nice looking. I am thinking of increasing their sizes and using them for sails..... Tony's shield page will also come in handy in this but just curious how you do it with fabric over paper and plastic. Like I said earlier nice work. Your capes really look great alongside the fabric lego capes.

Is it ok if I print out a long cape to use for my figs? I'm just going to use normal paper. How can I know what size will be right for minifigs?

Yep, that is the idea of it.
As for the raveling, I use fabric stiffener. The topic I linked to before should provide a little better detail.

If that works for you, go for it!
Now the size.. Is it odd for me to not know this somehow? I print these by the sheet, so those are the dementions I made up.
A Sheet is 7.92" across, and I can get 5 standard capes fit in that space. So I think if you printed one cape at 1.6" (Width), that would work out nicely.

Thanks! It worked! The only problem is that paper is weak and can rip but I guess that's my problem since I'm too cheapo to but a real one.

Well if you don't mind it being stiff you can put clear packing tape over. It also helps preserve the pattern!Lewa Rocks wrote:Thanks! It worked! The only problem is that paper is weak and can rip but I guess that's my problem since I'm too cheapo to but a real one.
God Bless. Danielas

Whoo Hoo! Got mine today.
Very nice work. My wife and son were impressed. They both thought the flag was good enough to be genuine LEGO. Me too.

Thanks Ted, I'm glad to hear it was well-taken & that your order made it to you safely.
I do try my best to make them in good quality, and even now am constantly trying new ways to improve on them (Came up with a better method of treating the fabric the other day, making the capes more durable, while reducing the number of "imperfect" items (Due to ink bleeding)).

Your cape designs look really great. I would order some but
currently all my funds are going into my next moc.
I was able to print a few of my own on some printable fabric
....they came out ok, but I guess practice makes perfect.
Thanks much for the thread about how you were able print
them and also for the great designs you have on your flickr
account, I was able to incorporate your great crown design
into some of mine.
