Tonight I bought King's Castle Siege

Post by LordZode »

During my break from work I went to TOYS R US aka TRU and I love the Castle 2007/2008 line so I had to choose.

If I can only pick one set, of the 4 I don't have so far, which do I choose?

Troll Battle Wheel

Troll War Ship

Skeleton Ship Attack

King's Castle Siege

I ended up buying King's Castle Siege!

What do you think? Did I make a good choice? Is it a good set?
Do you think they will ever lower the price of Troll War Ship?
I have a hard time finding Skeleton Ship Attack will I have to order it from LEGO S@H? I don't really want a Troll Battle wheel, will my collection be incomplete without it?

So far I have

1x Knight Battle Pack
1x Skeleton Battle Pack
3x Crossbow Attack
2x Knight Catapault
2x Final Joust
1x Dwarves Mine Defender
1x Skeleton Carriage
1x Troll Assault Wagon
1x Tower Raid
2x Skeleton Tower
1x Dwarves Mine

and now 1x King's Castle Siege.

What do you think?
P.S. If you need help making MOCs, making posts, or don't know what to do next, please, let me know! I'm here to help! ;)

I don't think a castle collection can be complete without it (King Castle Siege). I personally like it, but the troll battleship is *very* cool though a bit pricey.
Check this thread on the troll war ship:

The battlewheel has a lot of useful parts and 6 monifigs so I'd get it too.

The skelleton ship is also a nice set and you can hardly get it anywhere anymore except S@H or bricklink or ebay.

As someone who has 4 copies of kings castle siege  I'd say you made the right choice. The others definitely have alot of playability too, but the castle has a lot of very useful parts and generic bricks that are really useful when it comes to MOCs.

yeh great choice i own this set the only problem i face is that it is very brittle so you have to watch out for that. Other than that i think you made a good choice.(but the troll ship is good to) 8)

Actually, the Skelly Ship is a ToysRUs exclusive. You could get it there easily.
Question: Why do we drive in PARKways and park in DRIVEways?

Actually, I haven't been able to get it easily.

I've been visiting my local Toys R Us for monthes and haven't seen one.

That's because TRU is not carrying it forward anymore and has no plans to stock them in the near future. If your store has them, they are either a stock leftover or a warehouse *discovery* and you should expect that when they are sold out there will be no more. It's not in the TRU shelf plan-o-gram-thingy for Summer 2008. If you don't have it, and you want it, this may be your last opportunity.

Egads, well I don't have it, and I do want it, should I order it from S@H ASAP!:?

I think if you hadn't bought multiples of the sets that you did, you probably could have afforded the battle wheel too.

Lord Zode, you made the right choice. The other sets are fairly recent and will be on the shelves for some time. The castle set is very good and it makes an excellent centerpiece to the new castle sets.

For the Skeleton Attack Ship S@H, TRU, and Lego Stores are pretty much the only places to get them. I'd go ahead and get one before it becomes an ebay only item.

Thank you, Coatsy!

As for another comment, I am happy to have most of the small sets I have multiples of, as for the second Skeleton Tower it was a gift and is still in the sealed box :)

If only I could swap my Skeleton Tower towards a Skeleton Ship Attack, Battle Wheel, Troll Warship or another Dwarves mine LOL.

thats obvious. troll battle wheel made me mad, as it hurt my timid fingers to build the wheels, and it took forever for something so small. Other may have their opinon on it, but I hated it D:<

I would go with the troll warship, as im an addict of lego boats, and orcs? its like a dream. and it comes with an armored dragon and oh my god.. +sparkly eyes+

I have since purchased the Troll Warship. I haven't yet put it together, as I am using the 2 Skeleton Towers parts I purchased with the King's Castle Siege instructions to create a "Skeleton Castle Siege."
