If the "new" pirate line is true then all I can say is... "Its about time!"

I miss the old pirate line from the 80s and 90s. The junior pirate line from a few years back was none to pleasing.

Given that all of these figs are mix-n-matched, I wonder if the torso on the peasant girl actually matches with the skirt print. If the Pirate line is actually making a comeback, is it not possible that the torso in those pics actually belongs to a pirate wench? If that was the case, we'd actually be getting two useable female peasant torsos.

Yay, new pirates!

Pirates were my favourite Lego line when I was a kid. I didn't like Lego's little experiment with the 4+ Juniors pirates...I found them during my Dark Age and just assumed that ALL Lego was like that at the time.

Don't mess with the scale, Lego...

The Chandler Store where I found these was brand new, so if anyone else sees em', the store probably has to be brand spankin' new. I doubt the older stores change the cases.

Dang. I was thinking if we could find multiples it might help determine if they are a hint at things to come. If only at one store they might just be one offs. Thanks for the info.

Thought I'd pop in real quick with this:
Mister Phes, Pirate Admin wrote:Yes I know, but I thought I'd let everyone speculate for a while first. :P

So here's the answer:
Both LEGO Representatives told me these were not official Pirate LEGO mini-figures and nothing is planned.
How childish. :? Not sure I'm willing to believe an Admin who lets people get their hopes up just to crush them, but if he is right, then all this excitement is over nothing...

EDIT:

I do hope he's wrong- SO MUCH. :x However, the current boat hulls just wouldn't work for me. They'd have to bring back something similar to the old boat hulls if they want my money.
