I'll probably get one of the advent calenders and open it in the tradional way. Just for kicks mind you.

But I also plan on getting a few more calenders and opening them all at once.

Overall the photos of the set and mini figs look great and I am eagerly anticipating this one.

I think I'll get one and open a door a day. It will probably be the highlight of my day during finals :P

Huh.. instant gratification(open all at once), or a prolonged experience(open one per day)? o_o

If you open them all at once, then you get all that you want now, without having to wait, with the immidate payoff, but left with feelings of... "now what do I do?' :?

If you open them day by day, you extend the gift experience, but takes alot of patient and displine, but on certain days, where get a lackluster minifig(doubtful) or model(more likely) there's going to be a urge to open more doors to "even it out?, so it's more difficult.

Since they both have their advantages and disadvantages, what I want to do is buy two, open one set right away, and open one door at a time in the second set, like some people are doing.

Heh, we should get a poll going, to see what everyone is going to do.
The poll options could be [open now, open slowly, do both, or not buying.]
What do you guys think?

I would be up for a poll.

I am going to buy multiples. That being said I am going to open 1 door a day on 1 advent calander. On Christmas morning any extras I buy will be fair game

Interesting.

I find it strange that the peasant woman actually has her top untied. It seems a bit edgy. Perhaps she's LEGO's first working lady  . In all honesty, I kind of liked the earlier design shown on the preliminary Advant Calender image. It fit better with the skirt design. Perhaps we'll be lucky and see both designs make it to market (I'm not counting on it though).

The jester still looks awesome. Can't wait to see him with the proper headgear.

But if you open one set right away, the excitement you would get from opening them one door a day would be gone. Sure you would still have another set to open day by day, but if you already know exactly what's in each door, and if you've built them already, what's the point?

Personally, unless I knew of something I really needed in a certain door, I would probably open it a door a day. Of course this is me saying this in July, let's wait until December, and then see.

I would open it all at once but my mom won't let me. Though I think I'm gonna get two so I get to open two doors a day :P .

I don't like the new peasant woman, nearly as much as the old preliminary one.

I'll just reiterate what I said on flickr:
Morgan19 wrote:Fantastic, but would be better without the boobie worms. (I get the effect, but the trailing ends of the ties aren't really necessary-- t'would be a cleaner design without them.)

Oh yeah. The surprise is gone, so... huh. Didn't think about it that way. So I guess it's better to follow only one of the two main choices, that is, now or later.

This pic seems to show the top of the box as well. It's not very clear but it looks like the contents are itemised graphically.

I like the designs equally, I hop that maybe the prototype'll be in a civilian set next year?
