CCCVI - Hideout Entry

Post by nanuck95 »

My entry for the hideout category for CCC VI

Two brothers, Dave and Doug, are notorious criminals who go around pillaging and looting helpless travellers. Their hideout is a secret cave in the side of a mountain. When the door closes, it looks like the side of the mountain and is undetectable except by those who know where it is. In this scene, they have recently returned from one of their raids and are feasting like kings on their elaborate jeweled table.

Ohhh man... I was working on a hidden fortress category MOC and i had the same idea, hidden hideout in the side of a cliff. Man i don't think i will enter it now because i don't want to copy you or anything. IF only i had finnished it earlier! :(
Without Lego this world would change for the worse...

Let me second the 'Sweeet!' I love the idea of having opulence concealed in what would otherwise be a dingy cave. The contrast is striking.

Awesome job!
You did great on the furniture, the inside of the cave, the cliff and the terrain. Excellent entry :)
Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs

I love the incorporation of SNOT attached bricks and wedges for the rock. It gives it a lot of nice angles.

I like the idea, it is very original.
I like the furniture (table, chairs), I like very much the candel on the table, the fire and the wood cut.
Congratulations!

Nanuck95, this is an impressive landscape. It's hard to believe, on the other side there is actually a wide hideout, where the loot are stored and the thieves merry making. I like the whole concept very well, especially on the cliff front. If the entrance did not open slightly, we might never know what is at the back of the cliff.
