Any news yet on a Dwarves Battle Pack set?

This is why I hate speculation threads.
My point was that your comment was rude and smug. As an Admin, it is my responsibility to keep threads on topic and relevant. Your comment did nothing but position you to be able to say "I told you so" no matter the outcome. It contributed nothing to discussion of a Dwarf Battle Pack, which is the topic of this thread.
Also being an Admin has nothing to do with it. I have never said anything as an Admin that I wouldn't have said when I was a regular member. But now I feel impuned.

I don't have any "sources" and I never said anything one way or another (except when the Mine did come back at the beginning of the year). I try to stay away from speculation. The only "inside" information that I have ever shared was things that I have heard at the few conventions I have attended. I can't remember having said anything about the Mine coming back.Asterios wrote:your source said they would be back beginning of this year
Can you show me where you said that, via PM? I can't find it.they didn't appear till the middle of the year which is what i said they might if they came back
There is a huge difference between being wrong and lying. I never said you were lying. I said your credibility was low. I meant that you were wrong (ie. mistaken). When you consistantly refer to a mysterious source, and that source is proven wrong, your credibility is affected. I did not say you lied and I never impuned your word.so while you may be an Admin Josh you better get your story straight before trying to impune ones word.

I don't know if a Dwarf set would sell very well, unless it had some new figs, like the aforementioned female dwarf, or maybe an old Dwarf king with the dwarf beard element in bley... something like that.
Now, a Troll pack on the other hand... even if it was only 3 or 4 trolls in it at a slightly higher price.. or maybe 2 trolls and 2 orcs. Either way,
HE'S BACK U KNOW!!

I would think a dwarf battle pack would sell at least as well as the existing ones, considering that currently the only way to get a variety of them (not all the same dwarf) is 4 in a $60 set, 8 in a $200 set, or $4-5 a pop on Bricklink. I guess LEGO feels there's enough demand for dwarves that they can keep it this way for the time being. Or maybe the existing castle battle packs aren't really selling, and that's the problem. I still think they should do something more like the Star Wars battle packs, but hey . . .Sir Nelson wrote:I don't know if a Dwarf set would sell very well, unless it had some new figs, like the aforementioned female dwarf, or maybe an old Dwarf king with the dwarf beard element in bley... something like that.

I doubt the lego castle battlepacks have not been selling well. IN the UK the two battlepacks have been on the top seller list quite a bit and/or out of stock much of the year. Seems like they have been fairly hot items my guess is a troll or dwarf battlepack would do fine. I hope they do release them next year.

the whole conversation was deleted, but don't be surprised if you see a fantasy marketplace with Dwarf blacksmiths, and knights and maybe a troll or two and a new species of figure tooJoshWedin wrote:This is why I hate speculation threads. My point was that your comment was rude and smug. Your sources said they'd never come back, Rick. And they did. And you said my source was wrong, and he wasn't. You also said my source, a LEGO employee, wasn't to be trusted. Your source is a dealer catalog, which compared to other sources is like looking at a magic eight ball.Asterios wrote:actually they weren't your source said they would be back beginning of this year, I said not, they didn't appear till the middle of the year which is what i said they might if they came back, so while you may be an Admin Josh you better get your story straight before trying to impune ones word.JoshWedin wrote:Making statements like this is rude and does nothing to contribute to the discussion. I'm getting tired of you, Rick. Tread lightly or I'll enact the stupidity clause.

So, here's a forecast for '09:

Back on topic: I do like the dwarf and orc minifigs. Either in a minifig pack would be inspiring to boosting up those armies.

for starters my source is not a dealer catalog, secondly I said that it definately would not come back out in the early part of the year, but that if it did come back would be in the middile of the year, your source stated it would be back in January, it wasn't, by the way have you heard from your source lately? hes been rather mum if you ask me.SavaTheAggie wrote:Your sources said they'd never come back, Rick. You said they were gone forever. I don't want to see you posting in any speculation thread on this website again. I don't want to read the information from your "sources" ever again.

if you read the topic tony you would have noticed that one I didn't quote any sources, only what the S@H site showed which was sold out, and continued to show available and sold out all day long back in 2007, but not once did I say "my sources" mainly because I did not check them, but there was another topic which was removed because the truth of what i said was shown, and an Admin removed it, and warned me not to give out any info regarding prelease info and such.SavaTheAggie wrote:Hey Rick, you MegaBloks.Asterios wrote:for starters my source is not a dealer catalog, secondly I said that it definately would not come back out in the early part of the year, but that if it did come back would be in the middile of the year, your source stated it would be back in January, it wasn't, by the way have you heard from your source lately? hes been rather mum if you ask me.SavaTheAggie wrote: Your sources said they'd never come back, Rick.
