Classic Space is eating my brain!

Post by Azaghal »

Seriously, it is. It started with my building this little riff on a minifig of Danos:

This was followed in close succession by two remixes of the 6833 Beacon Tracer:

Now, I've started a specialty Flickr group for Classic Space remixes, and it looks like my next Bricklink order will be similarly Space-ified. How did it come to this?

Although, now that I think about it, this remix business might work equally well with Classic Castle factions. Hmm. . .

It's always nice to branch out into other themes. After all, there's only so many ways to build a grey box.

Nothing wrong with branching out and trying other things. Its all Lego! Post your stuff here in General. I'd love to see it.

The vehicles look cool. I recently re-claimed all of my younger brother's Lego sets from my parents basement and spent quite a bit of time re-building all his old M-tron, Blacktron 2, and Ice Planet sets for him. It was a good trip down memory lane.

I was impressed at how much cheaper some of the old space sets are on bricklink when compared to the Castle sets. Good stuff, please post more if you build them.

I really like that Ice Planet-themed Beacon Tracer. A while back I posed a classic-space themed Twin Winged Spoiler. Lemme see if I can find the link...

Here it is!

Keep it up!

nice remixes, and yes it is definately alot of fun to do remixes with classic castle as well. Awhile back I built a Royal Knights version of Black Falcon's Fortress.

Wow.

Absolutly wow.

I can't believe how awsome these are! I especially LOVE the Blacktron 2 Beacon Tracer. (Of course I am a sucker for Blacktron 2). I should consider making one of those.

Keep up the good work!

Funny, I just looked in the Castle forum, and found a new way:

I've always drifted towards Pirate (although there were always very few sets before) more than Space as a second favorite theme, but I do admire space a bit, and these sets of yours are no exception.

It seems you really have the look and feel of good LEGO space craft/vehicles down well - I do like that small ship very much - looks like a crafty little fighter~
Knight Templar
n. pl. Knights Templars or Knights Templar
1.A member of an order of knights founded about 1118 to protect pilgrims in the Holy Land during the Second Crusade.
