There are four wizards to choose from you may like them you may not but here they are:

Merlin- Wizard from english Legend

Gandalf- powerful wizard from J.R.R Tolkiens works

Majisto- Most Lego castle fans should know him

Gandalf is definitely my favorite. He has a good sense of humor, he's a nice guy, and he has the coolest fireworks ever. I've been thinking about getting a custom Gandalf minifig to stick in my MOCs. Here's one I saw on eBay:

Now all he needs is a BrickForge staff like this:

If I had to choose from your four?

Majisto.

He's the only one with a wand with a star on the end. Real wizards have star wands.

He's so secure in his wizardhood that he doesn't suffer from staff envy.

For real.

Gandalf is the only wizard out of the four to have any complex personality or explored history (Saruman was generally kept fairly mysterious, Merlin was more of a plot 'tool' than a character and Majisto never evolved beyond a name and a fig) so he wins more or less by default.

That, my friend, depends on which story you read.

Oh, and insert some random "what's the purpose behind this topic anyway?" comment here ;)

Seriously, at the point of sounding rude, what is the point of this thread? I mean, if your purpose is to find out what people's favorite fantasy wizard is, then the poll is helplessly flawed. There are hundreds, no, thousands of wizards out there in written stories, not to mention all the other stories that crop up from video games and movies. And having Gandalf and Magisto in the same list just makes no sense. Gandalf is from a 1000+ story written by and for adults. Magisto is a name given to a toy figure...with absolutely nothing else in the way of a back story or character. Simply put, you cannot make a proper poll about who the best is...and some simply cannot be compared. Maybe if you just asked what everyone's favorite was. But seriously, this is a rather pointless thread.

I think Dan likes Gandalf better than Majisto, too. :)

I too would like to know the purpose of this thread. It seems very random and not very LEGO related. So, I am going to lock it.
