New moc: Lord Diwrnach's Hunting Lodge.

Post by Derfel Cadarn »

A great castle now stands in ruin, but not empty. It is now used by Lord Diwrnach as a hunting lodge. My 2nd moc, looks a bit of a mess, but hey, thats the idea! Enjoy. http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/21694

very nice. I really like the windows on the stone tower, and the brown accents placed all around are really working nicely. The ruins are pretty well done as well. They look like an actual ruined building as opposed to an unfinished moc, which is sometimes hard to pull off.

btw, did you ever play Baldur's Gate II? This reminds me alot of one of the structures in that game.

As draugaer said, the ruining is really well done. I also like the way you did the Tudor-y walls, and the unconventional windows on the keep are awesome.

And as with your cottage, nice landscaping.

I also think this is a very nice moc. The tree/vine growing up the side of the building which uses the whip element is a great detail.

I'm always blown away when people come out of the woodwork displaying such a high degree of talent with "first MOCs" of this quality. I really like the look and construction, excellent landscaping, first time in a while I saved pics to my hard-drive for poring over later.

Well, once again wow. I really love the scenery, the stonework, the ruined element of the MOC, and the whole atmosphere in general. The only part i found myself questioning were the hanging chains, but i might just be missing out on their purpose. Congratulations on yet again producing a wonderful MOC early on in your production of MOCs...

Thanks for the comments everyone. To have good feedback coming from all the talented builders on here is a great honour :D . I will keep on posting medium sized mocs quite often, but i have also started work on a big project that will take me many months. Ive always wanted to have a go at building Camelot, but i think if your going to do it, you've got to do it propperly and on quite a large scale. So i will be working on that and i'll try and post some mocs in between. Thanks again for your comments.
