Unofficial CCC "College of Arms"

Post by LEGOFREAK »

Ok - can I just say that I love the whole idea of a CCC Roleplay?
I just wanted to do a survey of how many people would like to "register" their arms with an unofficial CCC College of arms? It'd be free, and fun.

It would work like this.
You would email me with your arms, or I could make one up for you with the design elements that you choose. I would put it into a database, and if someone else used those arms then the penalty would be a good open handed slap to them (while I mutter the phrase 'who's your daddy').

I would email you back a nice little made-up certificate with a big picture of your arms suitable for hanging on your wall, and a sheet of appropriately sized shields to print out on sticker paper.

The catch?
I will only allow heraldic patterns, art etc.. Of course allowances would be made for lego lions, and different beasts, but no cell phones, or nike patterns or silly stuff like that.

This is a great idea Freak. We could even use our coat of arms as signatures or avatars (if I figure out how to do that). I must design my arms now :)

Hmmm, mine came as part of the original specifications. One left, one right. I'm rather attached to them. They even come with handy manipulators on the ends! Makes it so much easier to play with Lego.

Great Idea! I will email you a description of my arms right away. The college of arms should be viewable somewhere as well. That way we could access it for identification purposes. :)

Well with enough interest it may become "official"

I take it my Evil Twin design does not meet the high standards of the CCC. 8)

Sable, an evil twins head couped argent...

Not what I would have chosen - no.

:D

(btw this isn't for ccc - it's an exercise in heraldry so I don't get rusty...) :D

PS - I just saw your other shields on BS and got a laugh out of the twin armored arms holding martini's.

Yeah, I know, a martini is not made with tonic, but it's a recognizable modern "drink", so it's the symbol of the Two-Tonic Knights. I'm going to modify it a bit, but I'm doing the Irish side of the family at the moment (Daugherty, Joyce, and Leonard).

I suppose I shouldn't mention they live in the Teutoburgerkingwald....

I'm really attached to the Black knights and DM shields. It would be hard for me to change to a different. I like Dragons, if someone could make me a nice one with a decnet dragon design (and similar DM colour shceme) I might say yes.

P.s. option two is funny

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!
