Wait...so they are making a LEGO movie with stop-motion and real people? That's all I understood. This doesn't sound good. Maybe if it was like the Lego minfigs fighting and destroying Mega-Bloks, Best-Lock, and the other bad lego knockoffs, then I'd buy it. But I hope it's good so people don't get a bad impression about Legos.

Somehow, I do not think you could portray rivalries between real companies like that in a film. Also, the film will most likely not be stop-motion, as much as I would like to see it be done that way. Chances are it's going to be CGI, because that's what everyone is doing now.

CGI, or live action, depending on what sort of movie they have planned.

Either way, I....I will wait and see. With such little info right now, its impossible to say anything. Though, if the other Lego movies already released are any indication....we could be in trouble. Those three Bionicle movies were iffy (yes I watched all of them). And apparently they are making another one, maybe thats the movie it is talking about?

If they build sets based on the movie, would the minifigs be yellow or fleshie?

Man this movie sounds pretty bad but I'll hope for the best.

On the new Bionicle DVD movie, there is a trailer for a Lego movie coming out from Universal straight to DVD this spring. While I have never played any of the Lego Island games, from what I've read of them, the movie seems to share a similar plot. Minifig Clutch Powers goes on an adventure that crosses several of Legos themes. (Scenes from Mars Mission, the current Castle Line, the new Rock Raiders and maybe I saw some Agents were shown in scenes)

It seems I am not the only one who watches the Bionicle movies.

Here is a link in case anyone is interesting:

So... so far all we have is a rumor of a movie, and a trailer that showed a glimpse, and everyone here assumes it'll be bad? :?

Jeez guys, at least give them a chance.
I mean, yeah - it will probably be geared towards kids. It's a kids toy! That usually means cheesy. Fine, great.. I didn't watch star wars the clone wars for any deep plot points. (and when you compare that to the "adult" star wars, there is a HUGE difference)
I liked the bionicle movies, even though the plots didnt really make much sense. The graphics were great, and there was a lot of humor in them.

Myself, I think I will be looking forward to this movie.

and after all - it CAN'T be worse than anaconda... :D

I'll wait to see more before I say yay or meh. I tend to like "bad" or corny movies, though I can count the kids movies that I've liked on one hand, so who knows...
