Vector LEGO logos

I have tried to inkscape to get my decals to look crisp and clean but have had no luck. The best I can do is to convert my photoshop files to vector useing inkscape but they dont look as good as yours. Very good job on the decals, keep it up.

Do you import the psd in Inkscape? How do you do that?

I have to save the psd as a jpeg. then i open it in inkscape and under the path tab i select trace bitmap. basically thats it.

Ah, I thought you imported the psd directly.

Yep that's the procedure. You have to watch out the quality of the picture (resolution, focused etc), then tweak the trace parameters (number of passes, trace by color, brightness etc). When you finally trace the bitmap you have to manually edit the nodes of the produced shape.

After quite some time, a castle addition. I'll follow peeron's policy, and I won't do any logos which are less then 3 years old (the ones that I already did are done...).
