An entry for the Medieval Mariner category: An English War-Cog prepares to set sail...

Increasingly irritated by the way real-world work impinges on building time...

That is awesome! Very nice work. As having spend the last half decade studying medieval maritime activity in the 100 Years War I have to say you have struck one of my main interests. It looks very nice. How did you do the fore castle?

The scene in general is great. Some nice activity going on and the dark swordsman on the docks looks interested in the arrival as well.

i really like the cartoonish style of the ship, and i think the port houses are built very well.the green tiles in the water create a variance.

Is this related in any way to the Hansa Cog I saw as well? http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=410912

The more I see this type of ship, the more I like it! Great job.

This scene overall is just awesome. The detailing in the water, the docks, the buildings-it all looks fantastic! Nice work also on the ship itself, that's some beautiful work on the fore and aft castles and the crow's nest. Great looking moc, personally I just love this whole work in general.

Looks great. I've always found it very difficult to make ships like this look properly medieval in their lines, but you've nailed it, I think. And the dockside buildings are neat, too.
