Sculpey and Fimo are similar. Sculpey is more rigid while Fimo has a bit more flexibility after cooking. I mainly use Fimo because Its easier to find in Australia.
Sculpey has the added bonus that you can use sand paper on it, if you want to get rid of rough parts. Either of them can be painted and come in a heap of colours.
The one thing that I learnt using Fimo and Sculpey is that they have a higher cooking temperature than Legos melting point. I'd suggest making small Lego sized heads out of foil. If you use Fimo or Sculpey on a Lego head it wont come off again.
