Star Trek Lego

Post by CodeGeorge »

I'm sad that Megablocks does Star Trek. I wantz my Star Trek with Lego. With the latest good movie they might as well (though Trek never sells nearly as well as things like Star Wars). I think they'd sell decent though. Trek models sell very well and this might hold the same appeal.

I made these custom sprites a while back (yes some make no Lego-sense like the skirts):

I love star trek (have every episode from every series ever made on DVD :tasty: ) so I do agree... but I'm not sure if the demand would be there or not.

Personally, I would love to have a model of each of the Enterprises ever made, a Klingon fleet, or a Borg ship... gosh, there are SO many ships in Star Trek, the Millennium Falcon from the SW LEGO series would be one of many!

I guess that they won't be able to get the licensing though, if MB has it already.

I'd love that as well, my space station project (very much a work-in-progress, as I currently have only <400 bricks!) is heavily influenced by Trek TOS & TNG, I love the mix of races and I've got plans for a few groovy non-humans as I build my collection. :)

And my castle project is on an alien planet, so I've crossed over the two, and I wouldn't have thought of that as a theme without Trek, and to a less extwnt Space 1999, and later Babylon 5.

By the way I LOVE those figs, Code George!!

Mega Bloks only did one Star Trek set that I am aware of; the Next Gen Enterprise 1701-D with a not-to-scale Capt. Picard before they went to the bent-knee figure designs. I don't recall any others.

LEGO has made enough variety of parts and minifigures over the years that is is a piece-o-cake to build your own Star Trek universe from LEGO.
