CCCVII - Rags-paper Mill

Post by Skalldyr »

I proudly present my first castle creation..... :roflol: It's for the CCCVII.
so enjoy!

A German/Italian rags-paper mill. The required cellulose fibers were won from worn linen textiles. Rag-and-bone men supplied the paper mills with the raw material. Rags were so desired at times and rare that for them an export ban existed which was also put through by force of arms. In the paper mills rags were cut in scrap, were sometimes washed, submitted to a process of disintigration and, finally fray out, in a stamping mill. The stamping mill was driven with water power.

Certainally an ambitious project for your first castle build. It's quite good, with lots of detail in all areas. You certainally seem to know what you are doing. Love the waterwheel especially.

I build, therefore I am.

I saw this on the submissions page and really liked it. Heck, I even liked it enough to come and leave you a comment.

Landscaping is great. The little details like the vines growing on the walls are nice. In general, this is just an exceptional creation. The only part I'm not so keen on are the slanted tan tiles.

By the way, what color are the walls? (Other than tan)

I don't know the name, but it's the Green Grocer colour. I even had to wait till christmas, to build the moc. After Green Grocer had arrived. :spin:

Great MOC. The interior is fantastic. Nice use of the sand green. The detailing on both the interior and exterior is wonderful. Most of all, thanks for the little history lesson. You learn something new everyday.
