mediterranean outpost
mediterranean outpost
Here is my latest creation, I ran out of time, (I'm going to move to a new apartment) so I didn't put much effort on the minifigs.
The idea was to create an roman outpost somewhere in the Mediterranean sea, but I don't own any figs that are even close to Romans so I had to populate it with crownies!
I can't say how much I'm waiting for the collectable Spartans, They are definitely getting their own creation as soon as I own a few!
I hope u like it! All kinds of feedback is welcome!

Re: mediterranean outpost
Very nice. Only thing I would change would be to add dark bley bricks and/or tan bricks in with the walls. Other than that, love the layout and design.
Re: mediterranean outpost
Nice, I love the multiple levels, the well, and the tower especially. Nice job on the rocks too.

Re: mediterranean outpost
doesn't look very roman to me, even ignoring the crownies. Well built though
...and that's how Equestria was made!

Re: mediterranean outpost
I'd have to agree. To me, it looks like something much more Northern, English or otherwise.Shadowviking wrote:doesn't look very roman to me, even ignoring the crownies. Well built though
I like it a lot though.

Re: mediterranean outpost
Very nice castle, not too large but tall and with a lot of levels, which is good.
I really love the neat architecture. Lot of inspiration.

Re: mediterranean outpost
Thank you all for the feedback!
yeah I know I'm too strictly bound to one colour and I need to use some other colours to make it more, alive. And when it comes to the Roman outpost I steel feel like it's roman, of course there are some new elements in it and some things that are historically incorrect. but i got the inspiration while studying Italian environment and communication, so the whole moc started when I built the squares that are inserted in the walls... and also the arcs etc...
I needed to place it in southern europe because otherwise my poor minifigs would freeze to death when i dont have any doors...
Thank you
Jakob

Re: mediterranean outpost
What a great build! That is well done. the curves and blend is nicely executed.

Re: mediterranean outpost
Nice MOC. I like the design of the castle and the beach. I haven't seen a lot of medium blue used for water, and it does invoke the feel of the mediterranian. It's to bad you don't have more dark bley, as I think the rocks the castle are on would look a lot better in that color.

Re: mediterranean outpost
Wow this is simply, one great MOC. I love the variety in wall design and the small beach-like area. The choice in SNOT sand and water was a good one. Plus, the little oven thing was very cool as well as the well. Overall, you did a very nice job with the design and details. Good job, keep it up!
