Shhhh...It's a Secret Contest.
I could tell you the details of the contest, but then I'd have to ban you. And we certainly don't want that, do we?
Here's what I CAN tell you: there's a contest. It has some rules. There are secret prizes. There are three secret categories. We want you to enter.
What are you building? What's the point? The point is to create your own secret society, with rules, regulations, and such. The kicker is you can't post your entry publicly. Your entry is secret.
Rules? Yeah. Rules:
1. You may enter up to three seperate entries.
2. Each entry may have three photos--no collages.
3. Each entry must be between on a base between 8x8 and 32x32. No exceptions, no hang-overs.
4. Each entry must have at least three minifigures.
5. You may use customs, including weapons, accessories, and stickers. I'll even let you cut brick. But no clones, please.
6. To enter, you must PM a mod (either Plums, Blue, RobinHood, or Maedhros) a link to your entry. If on Flickr, mark your uploads private. You will PM your deep-links (ending in .jpg) to the Mod in question as well as a link to the Set. We, the Knights Templar, will assemble all of the links in our secret location.
You may post your MOCs publicly for feedback AFTER September 15.
If you post it on a forum, MOCpages, or anywhere else for feedback prior to that date, you will disqualify your entry.
You have between September 1 and September 15 to PM your links to a Mod. Winners will be announced before October 13.
The secret contest is open to all members of CC save for the Knight's Templar, seeing as we're running the contest. Yes, Admins, you may enter too, if you so choose. Most importantly--have fun with this!

While some of you are private messaging your questions for the mods, and it is totally cool that you are, you can still ask questions in this thread. It might actually be helpful that you do, so that we don't have to answer the same questions multiple times.

...I sort of liked the look of this secret contest thread being totally empty of replies though

There was a secret society of Legos with blue hands in my house, but they've hidden so well, that I can not find them. I will make a Lego wall and post an invitation, asking them to take a few pictures of their headquarters.
They are pushing the idea of taking 30 cheerleaders on the house budget
Yup, in my secret Lego societies, it's all about the girls...

Just a reminder, you are to keep what you are building secret. Posting ANY information about your build can disqualify you from this contest.
Re: Shhhh...It's a Secret Contest.
Does it have to be medieval? Or can it be something more modern or, perhaps, ancient?

How... much of these rules and regulations are we going to make?plums_deify wrote: The point is to create your own secret society, with rules, regulations, and such.
As, do we have to make a fully worked-through law-system, or just a few rules about the ides/legalities/illegalities that are most important to the minifigs in the secret society?

Re: Shhhh...It's a Secret Contest.
I'm certainly not going to read a full set of Bylaws and a Constitution for your secret societ. But I DO want to know their aim.
Just include a little bit about it when you submit your entry.

Just to clear things up, this is not my entry, merely an expression.

And so he slipped into the forest, vanishing without a trace, leaving his pursuers lost without ideas, while he went to finish his MOC's.

Re: Shhhh...It's a Secret Contest.
Ooh I've got just the society in my castle world, In fact I'e got quite a few. My lego world is quite a scary place for politicians . I pretty much only post pics on brickshelf though, so since I don't believe there's any way to make a private BS folder would that disqualify me. I wouldn't write what it's for In the title or description, so it would remain essentially anonymous until the contest is over. Oh and btw thanks for hosting the you know what .

That is why we are getting an email address set up for the contest. You can then directly email the pictures to us. Go ahead and build, and stay tuned for updates.Elbadar wrote:Ooh I've got just the society in my castle world, In fact I'e got quite a few. My lego world is quite a scary place for politicians . I didn't see it posted anywhere, but I'm assuming the standard 800x600 picture size applies?
