The Coll. Minifig (Series 2) SAH Order Thread

Post by Sir Nelson »

If you ordered any of the Series 2 Collectible Minifigs from LEGO SAH, please post here and share the following:

1. How many minifigs did you order from SAH?
2. Which minifigs did you receive, and how many of each did you receive?

Let's see how TLG's distribution channel works, and who got what (with their maximum of 16).
(Comments from those interested in B/S/T should be posted in that forum; this is for research and entertainment only.)

You buy 16 and you get 1 of each! What's the odds on that?
The probablity of that happening is (16!/(16^16)); a little better that 1 in a million.

Well there you go, dashing my hopes and dreams with mathematical probability. ;-)

My allotment of 16 should be arriving by next Wednesday. I'm excited to see what it will include.

I'm putting off ordering a set from the LEGO Shop as Target should have them in stock soon and then I may pick! When I find a witch then all my base.... I just need the witch.

Lets keep this thread only about S@H orders and the contents of those orders. All other discussion should go over to the collectifig thread.

Hahahahahaha...oh the total irony of life. This is hysterical!

So mine arrived today. And I'm STILL laughing about it.

I got 16, as was the proper order. Here is my list:

3 Lifeguards
3 Surfers
1 Explorer
1 Police Officer
3 Witches
1 Ringmaster
1 Pop Singer
AND
3 Spartans...

Now for the irony...I'm all meh about those Spartans. And before you waste your breath...no I am not trading or selling those Spartans.

Got my 16 figs a few days ago.
1- Pam Anderson Baywatch
2- Spartans
3-Surfers
3-RIngmasters
1- Witch
1-Mexican
2-Skiers
1-Wieghtlfter
2-Vampires

The singer and the disco guy were the only two that I wanted but didn't get. 2 Spartans were nice.

Overall, I'm very pleased with selection I got.

I ordered 16, and got 3x Vampires and Mariachis, 2x Traffic Cops, Spartans, and Karate Masters, and 1x Lifeguard, Surfer, Witch, and Ringmaster. I'm pretty satisfied overall, though I was really hoping for a Mime (already have a trade set up for him, though! :D )

The probablity of that happening is (16!/(16^16)); a little better that 1 in a million.
So, if you bought 16 minifigs, and assume that LEGO picks them perfectly randomly and evenly distributed, the probability of receiving X different figs is roughly:

1 fig - 0.00%
2 figs - 0.00%
3 figs - 0.00%
4 figs - 0.00%
5 figs - 0.00%
6 figs - 0.09%
7 figs - 1.03%
8 figs - 6.01%
9 figs - 18.45%
10 figs - 30.52%
11 figs - 27.38%
12 figs - 13.04%
13 figs - 3.14%
14 figs - 0.34%
15 figs - 0.01%
16 figs - 0.00%

That's the rounded percentages based on a simulated 5 million orders. So, we don't really have enough sample data to make a call (at least not yet), but you'd expect to see most people get 9, 10, or 11 different figs, with a few people getting 8 or 12 figs. So far, of the 5 people that have reported stats, we've seen:

8 figs - 2 people
9 figs - 2 people
10 figs - 1 person

So... seems a little slated just yet, but not enough data to say for sure.

[edit]Found one person on EuroBricks reporting that they got 7 different figs in their S@H order...[/edit]

[edit again]Mine just came in-- I got:
1 - Pharoah
2 - Vampires
4 - Spartans
3 - Ringmasters
4 - Surfers
1 - Mariachi
1 - Weightlifter

So, also 7 different figs. Hmmm, still looking a bit more skewed...[/edit]

Got mine today:

3 x Lifegaurd
2 x Ringmaster
2 x Pop Singer
2 x Vampire
2 x Mariachi
1x Surfer
1 x Disco Guy
1 x Karate Guy
1x Spartan
1 x Traffic Cop

Had bought 3 previously (the last 3) at my local TRU and got Disco Guy, Ringmaster, and Witch.

I was honestly pretty disapointed with the figs I got. Mostly the multiples of the ones I really only wanted one of. Was actually thinking of ordering 16 more but then i saw this on the lego site: "A maximum of 16 minifigures may be ordered per address, per household."

Does this just apply to an individual order or are they keeping track of my address and they won't send any more to it? If that's the case, i'll either have them sent to a family member or Bricklink the ones I still need.

Looks like a bunch of people have been reporting their stats over at FBTB: http://www.fbtb.net/forums/viewtopic.ph ... 48&start=0

So far, the total distribution of differing figures for people that got 16 minifigs:

0 - 0 people
1 - 0 people
2 - 0 people
3 - 0 people
4 - 0 people
5 - 1 person
6 - 0 people
7 - 3 people
8 - 10 people
9 - 6 people
10 - 4 people
11 - 2 people
12 - 1 people
13 - 2 people
14 - 0 people
15 - 0 people
16 - 0 people

Most common character: Karate Master (46 reported)
Least common character: Explorer (16 reported)

Most commonly appearing characters: Lifeguard and Witch (reported on 24 distinct orders)
Least commonly appearing character: Explorer (reported on 12 distinct orders)

That's 33 orders, 4 of which did not include 16 minifigs (1 with 17, assumably by mistake, the others less than 16)
